n 2025 West Dunbartonshire Libraries were selected to take part in Our Freedom: Then and Now, a nationwide celebration of 80 years since the end of World War II. Projects across the UK explored what freedom means in the contemporary world. West Dunbartonshire Libraries worked with various people across the Clydebank community to gather stories, reflections, and feelings about freedom in both the past and present. This exciting and innovative graphic novel is the product of several months of engagement with people of all ages who have shared their thoughts and experiences of the end of World War II, and their ideas of what freedom means to them today.
