Josh and Layla enjoyed the sunshine and their favourite ice cream. But then...
...they spotted something unusual at the shops. A monster from the mines! Buying a jar of pickles.
They watched, as the creature took a key from a secret hiding place…
Together they clambered down into the dark tunnel beneath the village…
…and carefully crossed a rickety old wooden bridge.
The friends realised there were all sorts of creatures in the mines. Bats, spiders, rats, blue fairies, goblins…it was terrifying!
All the creatures suddenly spotted Layla and Josh – and they were NOT pleased to see them.
There, in a giant cavern, sat the King and Queen of the monsters. And their pet crocodile.
…then jumped into an old minecart to escape.
The minecart whooshed downhill like a rollercoaster.
The monsters soon followed them, and the people of Patna stood waiting.
The monsters and the people charged at one another…it was a Battle for Patna!
The monsters and the grownups stopped fighting...
The pupils had a plan…
Everyone agreed that was a much better idea, and all shared some ice-cream and pickles.
