An ACE Christmas!
Ardgowan Hospice is a charity, and all our services are free at the point of access. Unfortunately, we receive less than 35% of our funding from the government. Instead, we have to raise the remainder of our £11,000 a day running costs through fundraising and donations from individuals, groups, organisations and foundations. That is why we are grateful for the support of Magic Torch Comics CIC, artist Katherine Hemmings, storyteller Paul Bristow, and their funders.

An ACE Christmas!

Think,think,thin

On the second day of Christmas… Ace went to the shops to get all the things he would need for his helpful plan and then stomped back home through the chilly snow.
Crunch, crunch, crunch!

On the third day of Christmas…
Ace cut out and coloured and made lots of cards and decorations for the patients.
Snip, snip, snip!

On the fourth day of Christmas…
Ace whisked and baked and iced lots of Christmas cookies for a bake sale.
Mix, mix, mix!

On the fifth day of Christmas…
With the money Ace raised from the bake sale, he went to the Ardgowan Hospice shop to buy presents for the patients.
There was so much to choose from so he had to have a good look around.
Look, look, look!

On the sixth day of Christmas…
Ace travelled all around Inverclyde, knocking on lots of doors to deliver present parcels to patients.
Knock, knock, knock!

On the seventh day of Christmas…
Ace helped out the carol singers at the shopping centre and collected lots of donations in the bucket.
Rattle, rattle, rattle!

On the eighth day of Christmas… Ace and the carollers sang songs for all the patients in the ward.
Fa la la la la la, la la la la!

On the ninth day of Christmas… Ace drove all around the town, helping patients get to their appointments.
Vroom, vroom, vroom!

On the tenth day of Christmas…
Ace visited groups at the Access centre and made them all hot chocolate with marshmallows.
Slurp, slurp, slurp!

On the eleventh day of Christmas…
Ace delivered biscuits and chocolate to the nurses on the ward to say thank you for all their hard work.
Nom, nom, nom!

On the twelfth day of Christmas…
Ace sat down in his comfy chair to relax.
“I wonder how I can help out next year,” he thought. And then, he drifted off to sleep…
Shh, shh, shh!
