1. Extension Installation Guide Go to My downloadable products. The file that you download normally is a zip or tgz file. It’s required to disable cache in the administration panel of your site. Go to System/Cache Management. Choose all caches and take action “Disable” then submit. Also disable the Compilation if it is ON. So make sure that Caching and Compilation is disabled before installing the extension, you can enable it again after the installation. Use FTP client (such as Filezilla, WinSCP, cuteFtp) to upload or copy all folders in the zip package to your Magneto site root folder. This will not overwrite any existing files, just add new files to the folder structure. You will need to install the extension in your custom theme if you are using. Just make sure about this files to be uploaded in custom theme. app/design/frontend/default/default to app/design/frontend/YourThemeFolder/PackageFolder skin/design/frontend/default/default to skin/design/frontend/YourThemeFolder/PackageFolder After uploading is done, enable the Cache and if you keep Compilation On then re-run the Compilation. Navigate to System/Configuration, if you can see the extension tab, it is installed properly. Now if you get Access denied error when click on the extension tab, you need to log out admin panel and log in again. Go to front-end and try to process, make sure that everything is OK.

2. Configuration Once you have successfully installed the extension, go to System Configuration Indian GST to configure the extension for use. Here you can find various settings for the extension. Indian GST: Option to enable or disable extension. GSTIN Number: Add GSTIN number of your business to include it with order details. PAN Number: Add PAN number of your business to show in invoice PDF. GST Rate: Set GST rate for the store products to apply on orders. This rate will be applicable to all store products. Minimum Product Price to Apply GST Rate: Set minimum price to apply GST rate on products. GST Rate if Product Price Below Set Minimum Price: Set GST rate if product price is below minimum set in above. Display Product Prices in Catalog: Set products including or excluding tax to calculate GST. Business Origin: Select the state from which you are selling. This helps managing SGST, CGST and IGST. Buyer GST on Frontend: Set yes to show buyer GST on frontend. Invoice PDF Signature: Upload digital signature image to show in invoice PDF. Invoice PDF Signature Text: Set signature text to show in invoice PDF.

3. Apply Category Specific GST If you want to set different tax rate for different product category, you can select a category from Catalog Category and set GST Rate from Indian GST tab of the category for its products. This way all the products under this category will be applied with the tax rate specified for this category.
4. Apply Product Specific GST Sometimes some of the store products requires totally different GST rates to be applied rather than whole category or global. This requires setting product specific tax rates for the needed products. Go to Catalog Products and select product for which you want to set tax rate. Find GST Rate from Price tab and set tax rate. It will apply set GST rate when purchased.

5. Indian GST on Frontend Once you save the configurations and settings, you can see Indian GST enabled. Once customers purchase products, they can see GST tax rate applied on their orders. It will ask for buyer’s GST as well if applicable and shows if added.

6. GST tax details in backend Apart from frontend, GST details are shown in backend at order view, invoice, credit memo, PDFs and Emails. 

7. GST Tax Details in Email

8. Backend GST Reports You can manually generate GST Report for both Product specific or Order specific according to your business needs. Simply select date range for generating Order specific GST report. You can also export GST report for business purpose from store backend. Order Specific GST Report

9. Deactivation of Extension in Case of Emergency Manually delete all the files and content from following folders in your Magento root: var/cache/* var/session/* Make sure you’ve uploaded all files from the downloaded package. Go to app/etc/modules/Magecomp_GstCharge.xml and replace <active>true</active> with <active>false</active> Then repeat Step 1 and if something goes wrong, please contact us at https://www.magecomp.com/helpdesk or send us an email at helpdesk@magecomp.com

10. FAQs What if I get “Access denied” error after installation of the extension? Whenever you get Access denied error while clicking on the extension tab after installation, log out admin panel and re-login.
