21st-22nd March 2009

Drive ‘09 – at the heart of the uk transport industry The Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) will host Drive ‘09. The internationally recognised centre of transport excellence promotes world class research and advises car manufacturers and Government institutions on all aspects of transport. TRL’s test track is located on a secure secluded site providing a carefully controlled and safe operating environment. The track consists of five different sections, the ideal environment to put the latest chauffeur cars and taxis through their paces: n A central area (Pan) – 270m in diameter featuring two circles, 200m and 120m in diameter, ideal for skid pan testing, handling and exhibition. n A long straight of 550m with three lanes 3m wide. n A large loop of 2km, plus a 225m ‘track’ across the central area. n A banked bend enabling vehicles to negotiate the tight bend at speed on the North East corner of the loop. n A small roads system of 2.5km designed to replicate typical urban road conditions.

where? TRL is conveniently located just a few miles from junction 3 of the M3 and junction 10 of the M4. Heathrow Airport is just 30 mins away and Central London 45mins.

Drive ‘09 bigger, better, more dynamic! This year’s trade event takes place at the heart of the British Transport Industry – TRL. With a unique blend of exhibition, professional seminars and hands-on driving, Drive ‘09 builds on the success of Drive ‘08 but with more emphasis on the chauffeuring, private hire and taxi industries. With new features that include a professional driver’s lounge where guests will be able to get the best advice from industry professionals in setting up and running their own private hire and chauffeur business. With new opportunities to put vehicles to the test in a safe environment that replicates both urban and motorway driving. Drive ‘09 will offer a far broader range of exhibits and seminars covering all aspects that affect the professional driver and operator. Drive ‘09 promises to be bigger better and even more dynamic.†

QUALITY, SERVICE and INNOVATION are key determents and drivers of success in the professional driving industry. The Chauffeur magazine’s QSI Awards celebrate and reward the people, companies and products that lead their respective fields right across the taxi, private hire, limousine and chauffeuring Industries. The 2009 QSI awards ceremony will be hosted at a luxury venue within a fifteen minute drive of this year’s professional driving event, Drive ‘09 on Saturday March 21st and like last year the awards will be judged by an independent panel chaired by the editor of The Chauffeur magazine.

Will be running a page for entries in every issue up to the close date and thereafter they will be running the shortlist and table booking form in the remaining issues leading up to the awards ceremony itself. Your logo will be added to those promotional pages.

Each sponsor will receive as part of their overall package one table of ten at the awards evening.
