CAMPBELL, Andy & Sharon | Maintenance Controller & Doctor, PNG. Our engineering team in PNG has battled with sickness. Please pray for us as we grieve the loss of Sylas, who has passed away from TB. Maro (Avionics) has had extended sick leave due to back problems. JK’s wife has passed away as they were preparing for retirement after long service with MAF. Pray for the health, wellbeing and comfort of our MAF PNG team. Pray particularly for our national staff as health care options aren’t always readily available.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2 HARDING, Bill & Angela | International Development Director & People Care Manager, NZ based.

At the beginning of November Bill will be at a MAF International Managers’ Conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Please uphold him as he travels again. Pray that the meetings will encourage the Country Directors and senior managers who attend.

Please pray for Vaughan as he continues to visit programmes in the Asia Pacific region. Give thanks for staff who have answered God’s call to serve and pray that MAF can soon fill the many vacancies in our operations.

MCINTOSH, Colin & Rosemary | MAFI Maintenance Support Specialist–Turbine Aircraft, NZ based MAF Uganda is providing hands-on experience to show Ugandan children the possibilities of a career in aviation. By allowing the children to get up close to aircraft and learn how aviation works, MAF staff hope to inspire and encourage them to achieve their dreams. Pray that the children attending these interactive workshops will be inspired and encouraged to pursue a career in aviation.

POUND, Jonathan & Michele | Pilot, South Sudan Praise the Lord for the opportunity to move to the other compound in Juba, where there are more kids for ours to play with, and more ladies for Michele to interact with. Please pray that the move will be seamless, and that we will enjoy being a part of the community there. Please join us as we thank God for our ongoing good health, and that it may continue, so that we can serve to our best ability!

He has very busy days and needs prayer for strength and wisdom to do all the tasks that he needs to do.

Pray for Karlien, our youngest daughter’s, health. Since coming to PNG, she has been struggling with tummy issues.

Please pray for healing or that the doctors will be able to treat her.

HASTIES, Jesse, Marie & Kerry | Quality and Safety Manager, Mareeba Pray for Jesse as he completes his last year at high school and for the successful completion of his exams. Pray for a job for him as well. Pray for Marie and Kerry’s health as the last 6 months has seen constant small issues needing medical treatment.

THURSDAY, NOV 7 MAF IN NEW ZEALAND Today we farewell Zoe, our Marketing Manager. Please pray for God’s guidance, favour and provision for her next season.

SATURDAY, NOV 9 MAF IN GUINEA Pray for approval to rehabilitate two remote airstrips in Guinea so we can further serve the most isolated people of this nation.

ORCHARD, Karl & Helene (Ayla & Thea) | Senior Systems Administrator (IT), PNG Praise God that we have arrived safely in Mt Hagen and have settled in well. Please pray for us as we continue our language and culture learning and find our way around Mt Hagen.

There have been some peace and reconciliation workshop presenters, and gospel outreach workers who have flown with us over the last few months. Pray for the continued success of these endeavours.

FRIDAY, NOV 8 MAF IN NEW ZEALAND Today is the last MAF NZ Board Meeting for the year.

Please pray for wisdom and unity as we plan for the coming year and make decisions about governance changes coming up.

FRIDAY, NOV 15 MAF IN NEW ZEALAND Danielle started at the end of October as Communications Co-ordinator. Please pray for her to settle into her new position and have great creative ideas.

WATSON, Jonny & Glenys | Pilot, PNG All the PNG pilots are gathering this week for our annual pilots meetings.

Much of what we cover this week is annual currency requirements and discussions about different aspects of our work, but also includes social times to bond together as a team. Pray that we might take this year’s theme of ‘Stewardship’ and apply it to our day-to-day work.

HUNT, Benji & Jess | Engineering Supervisor, PNG Praise God for providing Benji’s replacement in the form of Jade, a PNG national.

He is a valuable asset to PNG and we know that the engineering department will thrive under his leadership.

He took over officially on the 1st of November. Please pray for wisdom as he leads the engineering team going forward.

HITCHINS, Nick & Ruth. | Business Analytics and Innovation Manager, Cairns Pray for the Hitchins family as they adjust to life in Cairns. Pray that they find a house to settle into. Pray for refreshment and great family time together after a busy time of packing up and saying many goodbyes in Timor -Leste.

MÜHLEMATTER, Renee & Pascal. | Pilot & Head of Maintenance, PNG We are in Switzerland this month and are meeting with Pascal’s friends, family and supporters. Pascal continues to work for MAF remotely.

There have been many illnesses in his team in PNG. Please pray for good health for the team members and their families.

MAF IN NEW ZEALAND Pray for The Send, a large youth gathering at Mystery Creek today. MAF Co-Pilot will be involved. The event aims to enthuse young people to reach their generation through evangelism and missions.

INGHAM, Bridget | Pilot, PNG The MAF PNG annual pilots’ meeting takes place this week. Pray for good discussions, learning, and fellowship. Pray that all our pilots will be refreshed, as we are stretched for numbers at the moment.

FOX, Mark | CEO, NZ Based November is planning month.

We are planning our 2025 programme, budgets and priorities. Please pray for this process, that we will be Holy Spirit led and that we would know His blessing in 2025.

MAF IN NEW ZEALAND Pray for the follow-up from the successful launch of the Co-pilot youth program and for more young people who are interested in missions to get in touch. Stephen Wood is planning a camp here in Tauranga from 6 to 8 January 2025.

NICHOLLS, Kevin & Angela | Regional Quality Manager, New Zealand based Please pray for the quality and safety team as we plan for the introduction of a new Document Change system, that will streamline and improve the process.

The online quality and safety conference is scheduled for 19-21 November. Pray it will bring improvement for MAF and encourage those who attend. Kevin has been very fatigued after a recent operation, please pray that his energy levels will improve.

The MAFI Finance team gives thanks and praise for Michael Hynds, who has recently been employed as our Director of Finance – Operations. This role supports the Leadership Team with project, strategic and operational decisions.

Please pray for Michael, as he negotiates the complexities of MAF and settles into his position.

TUESDAY, NOV 26 MAF IN MADAGASCAR Give thanks for the news that a boy from Madagascar with severe burns has recovered after MAF was able to transport him to the capital for treatment. He will return home soon.

MAF IN SURINAME Give thanks that the handyman team from Niew Lekkerland were able to spend a week with MAF in Suriname solving several issues in the hangar.

MAF INTERNATIONAL Please pray for the recruitment of teachers to teach in Liberia, Papua New Guinea and South Sudan in schools that serve our MAF families.

Pray for unity in implementation of the plans and the goals set there, and for Phil as he participates in strategic sessions for resilience and succession planning.

Please pray for healthy head spaces for all of us as the chaos of another move and change is processed, and as we are in the thick of transition and packing that we will feel God near as we take the next step!

SPROUL, Phil & Tania. | Director of Technical Operations, Cairns Praise God that MAF take delivery of another two new aircraft this month for the Cessna Caravan fleet renewal program. Thank the Lord for his abundant provision. Pray for the teams in PNG and Madagascar as they prepare to import these into their countries. Praise God that Phil & Tania can catch up with family over Christmas in NZ, pray for times of refreshment and renewal.

SATURDAY, DEC 7 Renee & Pascal Mühlematter | Pilot & Head of Maintenance, PNG Early next month we return to PNG, which means I have a lot of material to revise before I begin flying again. Please pray that I would be able to prepare well, and arrive in PNG ready to go. Please thank God for keeping us safe in our travels.

However up to the end of September, parliament has only sat for 16 days. Pray that God moves by His Holy Spirit at all levels of leadership in this complex nation and give thanks for His hand at work.

HITCHINS, Nick & Ruth | Country Director, Pilot and Hospital Chaplain, Timor Leste Pray for the Hitchins and their sons as they settle in Cairns.

Pray for Nick as he starts a new job in the beginning of 2025. Pray for new friends and a sense of “Home”.
