Please pray for Nick as he starts his new role as Strategic Manager Projects, Innovation and Analytics at the Cairns office this month. Pray for strong relationships with his new colleagues throughout the MAFI world.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 2 HARDING, Bill & Angela | International Development Director & People Care Manager, NZ based.

Pray for rest for many of our staff who are taking holidays at this time, and safety and energy for those who continue to work. We will be walking the Queen Charlotte Track in mid-January and are looking forward to a short break.

WATSON, Jonny & Glenys | Pilot, PNG. Pray for a resolution to the current aviation fuel crisis in PNG. After months of unstable fuel supply from within PNG, we are now needing to source all our JetA1 fuel from overseas with a significant increase in costs, which has necessitated an increase in airfares for our passengers.

Pray for Jesse to get a job, as he now has completed high school.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 5 CAMPBELL, Andy & Sharon | Maintenance Controller & Doctor, PNG. Balimo Hospital which hasn’t had a fulltime doctor for 20 years, now has a junior PNG doctor (Joachim) who has taken up the position there. Pray for him and the rest of the team to be able to serve Christ and the community well in very challenging circumstances.

MAF INTERNATIONAL. Praise God for the recent donation of an aircraft nose from Loganair, which will be converted to an aircraft systems simulator for East Africa.

Pray for quality rest and a recharging of batteries for the year ahead.

VAN DER MERWE, Cobus & Tronel | Building & Maintenance Deputy Manager, PNG. Pray for God’s blessing on the work that Cobus is doing.

He has very busy days and needs prayer for strength and wisdom to do all the tasks that he needs to do.

Pray for Karlien, our youngest daughter’s, health. Since coming to PNG, she has been struggling with tummy issues.

Please pray for healing or that the doctors will be able to treat her.

TUESDAY, JAN 7 ORCHARD, Karl & Helene | Senior Systems Administrator (IT), PNG. Praise for Karls first month working in IT with MAF going well, and finding of plenty of things he can provide support with. Praise that the family is settling in well.

Prayer for upcoming outpost trips, that they are planned and prepared well, and that if they are overnight that the family can come too and see more of PNG.

WEDNESDAY, JAN 8 MCINOTOSH, Colin & Rosemary | MAFI Maintenance Support Specialist–Turbine Aircraft, NZ based.

The engine in our MAF NZ aircraft, is due for overhaul.

The replacement engine recently arrived from the US. Give thanks for the team at Solo Wings, who will fit the new engine and pray that the engine change will go smoothly without delays. and unity as we plan for the coming year and make decisions about governance changes coming up.

FRIDAY, JAN 10 WOODWARD, Vaughan and Rosemary | Interim Regional Director (Asia-Pacific); HR Advisor, Cairns.

We give thanks for time away from work to rest, recharge and reflect. Please pray for Rosemary as she focuses on preparations and logistics surrounding the upcoming security training and orientation courses being run in February for our pre-field staff.

SATURDAY, JAN 11 INGHAM, Bridget | Pilot, PNG. Our compound dynamics are set to change this month, with a family leaving and others coming back after having been away for several months. Pray that everyone would be able to adjust quickly.

TUESDAY, JAN 14 NICHOLLS, Kevin & Angela | Regional Quality Manager, NZ based.

Kevin gives thanks that the online quality and safety conference held from 19-21 November went well, and that the staff feel better equipped as a result of the conference.

Kevin’s energy levels continue to improve after his operation in August. Please continue to pray for his recovery.

WEDNESDAY, JAN 15 SUNDAY, JAN 12 HUNT, Benji & Jess | Engineering Supervisor, PNG. Please pray for us as we move back to NZ from PNG. Please pray for our house renovations to be completed. after damaged caused.

MÜHLEMATTER, Renee & Pascal. | Pilot & Head of Maintenance, PNG. We have arrived back in PNG and are getting back into the rhythm of our jobs and life in PNG. Please pray for us as we readjust, that we would have good health and settle well.

MAF IN NEW ZEALAND. Please pray for our marketing efforts this year. Pray that MAF in NZ is made more known, and for creative ideas to engage with potential supporters.

POUND, Jonathan & Michele | Pilot, South Sudan.

Please pray for the family as they adjust to living on a new compound. Pray for protection, peace and favour as they go about their dayto-day life in Juba.

MAF IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA. Praise God for the delivery of the first of 3 new aircraft to serve in PNG and the impact this will have for people in isolated villages. Please continue to pray for more pilots and aircraft technicians for these planes.

FRIDAY, JAN 17 MAF IN UGANDA. Pray for the on-going efforts to secure a floatplane to serve isolated communities on Lake Victoria in Uganda.

Please pray for the finance and all the legal requirements to be met.

SATURDAY, JAN 18 MAF IN NEW ZEALAND. Please pray for our recruitment of staff for our overseas programmes. May God led us to the right people to fill many of the vacancies in the MAF world, with gifted Kiwis.

SUNDAY, JAN 19 MAF INTERNATIONAL. Please pray for the quality and safety team of MAFI, as we plan for the introduction of a new document change system, which will streamline and improve the process.

Please pray for wisdom and discernment and fast learning.

TUESDAY, JAN 21 MAF IN TIMOR LESTE. We are planning to introduce a Cessna Caravan into MAF Timor-Leste this year, however in-country engineering support is critical to achieve this goal. Please pray for the provision of suitable engineering facilities and staff.

WEDNESDAY, JAN 22 MAF INTERNATIONAL. We thank the Lord for several new Quality and Safety Managers who are starting in programs across MAFI. Please pray for them as they adjust to their new roles.

THURSDAY, JAN 23 MAF IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA. Pray for the current fuel situation, that it doesn’t cause civil unrest and that the situation is resolved fast so that MAF can operate to full capacity, to make the biggest difference they can.

SATURDAY, JAN 25 VINCENT, Fiona | Finance Manager, Asia-Pacific Region, NZ based.

Please pray for the role of Finance Manager in PNG to be filled. Give thanks for all the finance staff in the Asia Pacific region. May they have wisdom and integrity in the many challenging circumstances. May they see God’s goodness and provision.

Pray for a fresh anointing in their leadership positions as it can be challenging. MAF is experiencing a shortage of aircraft maintenance engineers and supervisors.

Please pray for these positions to be filled.

JANUARY 27FEBRUARY 1 MONDAY, JANUARY 27 MAF IN NEW ZEALAND. Please pray with us in our fundraising efforts in 2025 and for our Fundraising Manager, Faith Tudor. May God give us wisdom, favour and the right strategies.

I thank God for a good time of reconnection with family and supporters in NZ during December. Pray that I will be able to settle back well into life and work in South Sudan.

Pray for the preparation and induction of the aircraft that MAF recently acquired to serve in Papua New Guinea, Madagascar and Uganda.

TUESDAY, FEB 4 MAF INTERNATIONAL. Pray for the pilots in Arnhem Land as they navigate flying in the wet season. Pray for resilience and God’s heart to serve.

THURSDAY, FEB 6 MAF INTERNATIONAL. Please pray for the Security Training and Orientation of the new staff being held from 5 -14 February in Cairns.

Pray for the stamina of the candidates and the trainers and that great relationships will be formed.

Give thanks for the Bible Box ministry the pilots are involved with, in PNG. It provides access to written and audio Bibles and other Christian literature. Pray that this ministry will be used

by God to grow His kingdom in PNG.
