“SERENE VIEW”
SUMMER SEMESTER /2019
After being given a location on a beach in West Virginia North Bend State Park, we were tasked with designing a sauna space that would incorporate a routine use established from when you enter to using the space, and exiting refreshed. I wanted the sauna to have a beautiful scenic view of the water that makes the user feel like they are closer to nature. Each destination visited allows an experience and a view of where they need to navigate to after using a space. The routine and ritual becomes almost instinctual with your mind being able to focus on peaceful tranquility. The first pieces to the right are micron on a photograph to understand the space and possible organizational elements, the image on the top right is of a Bas-relief of the site and the final model was made from wood, foam, chip board and rockite.

“EVAN’S PARK REVITALIZATION” FALL SEMESTER /2021
PG. 07
We began by looking at the regional and local context around our site Evan’s Park located along the Mill Creek in Lower Price Hill, Cincinnati, OH. From engaging with the site and statistical information gathered my design focused on creating a space that provided opportunities through the improvement in health, community and equitability. The current site is being used for a small park, baseball and soccer fields, and mainly as a flooding zone from the Mill Creek entering into the Ohio River. The Barrier Dam has much of the site fenced off for safety and flooding purposes. I was influenced by Robert Burle Marx strategy of colorizing and creating layers within the surface of landscapes, as well as, by the concept of bringing the history of the site and benefits of using mounds of earth in my design. My final drawings were created with a compilation of GIS Data, Autocad, Rhino, and Abobe Software.
“ALMS INSERTION” SPRING SEMESTER /2018
For this studio, we were trying to create an insertion piece for the Alms 6th and 7th floors within DAAP creating new studio and pin up spaces. To design these new spaces we needed to study the building and understand the original structure before transforming it into new spaces. I pushed to create a parasitic relationship between the existing building and the inserted pieces. I wanted to redesign the two floors and provide additional space on top of the building. I envisioned the new pieces being constructed with white paneling and glass facade to bring in as much natural light as possible. The drawings were created with micron and prismacolor. The massing model pieces were built from brick and wood. The final design was a gouache analytique and the perspectives were rendered in photoshop.

“ART SCAPE”
SUMMER SEMESTER /2021
I had to select a piece of artwork from a predetermined selection to use as a precedent for a landform design. The piece I choose was “Landscape” from 1913 by Giacomo Balla. The concept was a sense of movement and I carried out this swirling element to my final landform. I rotated the painting and focused on the overlapping section of colors that begins to establish definitive shapes. I then selected a black red and white section that I reorganized into a composition that focuses the eye inward. The final landform had both elevations and depressions with the highest points being on the outer edge and the lowest being in the center. The final model was built from layers of white foam board. “INTEGRATED SHELTER” FALL SEMESTER/ 2019
PG. 15
We were tasked with finding a problem with a current design within the urban area and creating a solution to the problem while also defining a price in which the implementation would cost. I wanted to redesign a bench near a metro bus stop that was lacking shelter. The design I came up with was a way to fold pieces of wood to separate the bench for seating or provide shelter from the elements and as a place of rest for homeless individuals. The final design used panel board and hinges to allow the ability to separate and open the bench as desired for under $100. I also proposed plantings on either side as a way of reducing runoff and decreasing the large amounts of impervious surface in the area. As architectural designers we have the ability to reduce discomfort and provide potential solutions to make the lives of the communities in which we design happier, safer and healthier.
“TESSELLATION ROW HOUSE” SPRING SEMESTER /2020
PG. 17
We were given a narrow empty lot on 13th Street in Cincinnati, OH and were to design a row house to fill the space. The clientele I was creating my row house for was an older couple that would incorporate space for their children and grandchildren to stay and visit. For my design I was interested in putting a roof garden on the house and from there I created a tessellated pattern to create a roof form that sloped from the front to the back of the building that reduced runoff. I folded this tessellation onto the back and front of the house to connect the concept and provide an intriguing facade to the building. There is an elevator core that opens up onto the roof for easy access. The drawing the right was a quick sketch of my original design thoughts for the roof system. However, the rest of the drawings were created in Sketchup and AutoCad with the model of the center of the building being made with Basswood, wire mesh, and cardboard.

IMPORTANT INFO
The studio was based around a superstudio focused on Green Infrastructure and Green New Deal initiatives. Our location was focused on Lower Price Hill within Cincinnati, OH looking at lacking infrastructure and sustainable implementation. The site I choose was a group of abandoned factory buildings that I proposed to turn into a garden/green house, food co-op, affordable housing, and community gathering. I tried to use the existing buildings as the footprint and reinforce the column system already established. I also Implemented a column system that would provide shading to the proposed greenroofs, create wind harvesting and storm water collection. All drawings were created digitally through Autocad, Rhino, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

“PROFESSIONAL RENDERS” SPRING-FALL SEMESTER 2019/SUMMER 2020
PG. 25
The work shown in this spread was for Ferguson Construction where I worked for my first two internships and ATA Beilharz in Cincinnati for my final undergraduate internship. The render at the top is of a new restaurant being remodeled and was created with an existing photograph, sketchup and photoshop. The bottom two images are the rendered concept and final construction of the new interior space for the Sidney, OH Ferguson office celebrating their 100 years in business. The following page is a project I worked on for ATA Beilharz in the historic district in Cincinnati. I created concept designs for the forecourt in front of the oldest Jewish Cemetery in Cincinnati. Each design incorporates aspects of jewish symbolism, history and seating.
