We sat down for a chat with Chelsea Carhart Lehmann from Home Town Events, a Hamilton-based wedding and event planner, to learn more about how a Wedding Planner helps couples make their big day happen.
So, what does a wedding planner actually do? Your wedding planner guides you through all the steps leading up to and on the wedding day. Most couples look to hire their planner a year out from their wedding day, so basically right after their engagement. We sit with you and talk through the vision for the day to understand all the details: how everything should feel, the theme, the colors. Basically, we’ll take your Pinterest board and make it come to life! Then we also help with all the logistics from finding the venue, to planning how to move people from the ceremony to the reception, and generally making the day flow well. 20
