Fore the Kids Golf Tournament

Madison’s 28th Annual Fore the Kids Golf Tournament was hosted at the iconic Sleepy Hollow Country Club on August 1, 2022. More than 100 players enjoyed a day of golf followed by a delicious dinner and exciting live auction on the veranda to benefit our members.

Youth of the Year

The 10th Annual Youth of the Year Celebration was held on May 18, 2022. The program honors Youth of the Year ambassadors from each Clubhouse, celebrating our members for their demonstrated leadership, outstanding accomplishments and academic success. Our five Youth of the Year finalists inspired supporters and friends of Madison with their stories of personal triumph in the face of adversity. The event raised over $1.1 million for Madison to continue to provide necessary resources to New York City’s at-promise youth, and recognized Champion of Youth Honorees Shellye Archambeau, Fortune 500 Board Member and author; Joseph Pizza, Pharmasphere Inc. President; and Corporate Champion of Youth Honoree American Express.

Christmas Tree Ball

On December 3, 2021, we rang in the holiday season with friends and supporters at Madison’s 55th Annual Christmas Tree Ball, held at the magical Cipriani 42nd Street. The event, featuring messages from our members, dancing and celebration, raised more than $1.4 million to support our Teen Campus programs — providing academic support, college preparation, career exploration, financial literacy, character and leadership development, physical fitness and healthy lifestyles programming to our teen members.

With its generous multi-year investment, Amex brings its “powerful backing” and shared commitment to improving the lives of today’s youth from underrepresented communities. The Amex team has rallied more than 150 colleagues to join volunteer opportunities including assisting with our food pantries, coaching our Youth of the Year candidates and leading youth workshops focused on personal brand, college readiness and financial education. Its strong financial commitment has included support of our COVID-19 Relief Fund and academic success programs; sponsorships of Christmas Tree Ball, Youth of the Year and the Fore the Kids Golf Tournament; and representation on Madison Council and our Board. We are grateful for the strong bond that we have formed, and we look forward to our continued work together.

makes magic happen for our members both inside and outside of our Clubs. Time and again, the Foundation has demonstrated unparalleled loyalty and dedication to our mission. In conjunction with our capital campaign, Garden of Dreams fully refurbished our John E. Grimm Clubhouse in the Bronx and outfitted all of our Clubhouses with state-of-the-art Notes for Notes recording studios. Beyond our Club walls, Garden of Dreams has afforded our youth life-changing opportunities, including scholarships, game-day tickets, meetings with players and celebrities, and the once-in-a-lifetime chance to perform in a talent show at Radio City Music Hall. In response to the pandemic, Garden of Dreams went above and beyond in supporting our work with program support and food donations. For all of this, Garden of Dreams is truly a dream partnership.
