A Message from Our Founder

The strength of a woman is in her purse, so goes a quote from a popular movie. I believe that. I always felt a sense of power when I walked into an office during my corporate days and put my handbag on a conference table. I felt together, complete. And as I stood up and picked up my bag, shaking hands with mostly men attending that meeting I felt beautiful and accomplished.

I was initially uncomfortable carrying a Birkin to a meeting as it could be seen as my flaunting my success. How would my clients take it? But the minute I carried that bag into a business meeting, I felt empowered. I felt successful and I wanted the world to know I was successful. Some people say always look at a man’s shoe to gain insight into his wealth, his power and his taste. I’ve come to understand that one should look at a woman’s handbag for the same insight.

Carrying an Hermès Birkin or Kelly or a Chanel classic bag opened doors for me. I got the attention of the Maitre D’s and waiters at restaurants and the sales people in stores. I was perceived as having wealth, power and taste. I was surprised that even if I was wearing jeans, had on no make-up or unwashed hair, I was still projecting that aura of affluence if I was carrying the “right” bag.

I felt more empowered and that strengthened my confidence in all aspects of my life.

Hermès Horseshoe Stamp (HSS) Bags

We are one of the only major independent retailers who specialize in selling rare Hermès Horseshoe Stamp bags (known as HSS bags). Among the fashion elite, there is no greater status symbol than an Hermès special order bag. Twice a year, Hermès allows its VIP clients the opportunity to customize their own Hermès bag.

Each Hermès custom, or à la carte bag, features a special horseshoe stamp to the left of the Hermès embossed stamp under the front flap of the bag. This stamp authenticates the bag as a genuine special order and has led to Hermès special order bags being referred to as Horseshoe Stamp bags or HSS handbags.

Typically, these made-to-order bags take anywhere between six months and three years to be delivered, however our in-stock selection of HSS bags allow us to offer these special items for immediate purchase and delivery to our clients.

See our products in-person by scheduling a private shopping experience in our New York City showroom. Let one of our luxury sales specialists answer any questions and see a variety of bags in person.

We are conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan. Our showroom is open to clients, as well as to sellers and consignees. Customers can view handbags, as well as discuss options with our product experts. Sellers and consignees can deliver bags for our review.
