OUR STORY
Made by Mama is us, Anna and Morten. In 2012, we exchanged our fast-paced lives in Denmark for a peaceful mountain slope in Tuscany.
Made by Mama saw the light of day in 2018 as a result of a common passion for gastronomy and having spent years developing our own olive oil and other local specialties.
We have done things our own way. Italian quality combined with the simple clean aesthetic of the Nordics. The best from us – Made by Mama.
OUR PRODUCTS
We only sell products that we have produced ourselves, or that are produced by manufacturers we know and trust.
Andrea roasts our coffee. Ilenia turns and packs our parmigiano. Massimo ensures the exact balance of our balsamic vinegar. They all take pride in their crafts, and they all have the true taste of Italy in mind, when they make our products. We know who made every product – and how they made it.
We never compromise on taste and quality and that philosophy is our guarantee to our customers: Products of high quality and, whenever possible, organic ingredients.
OUR EARTH
We respect our partners and their crafts, and we respect the land. That means finding solutions where we create value with a minimum impact – for all involved.
Our paper-based packaging and labels are all produced with FSC certified paper to ensure sustainable foresting.

Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Our organic extra virgin olive oil is an oil in a class of its own. It is made from 100% organically grown olives from our groves in Tuscany. All the olives are harvested by hand and pressed into oil the same day.
The olive oil has a fresh taste, with a subtle peppery sensation in the throat, and it contains a multitude of antioxidants, making it an oil of the highest quality.

Ice cream with olive oil and sea salt
Serve your favourite vanilla ice cream in beautiful glasses with our extra virgin olive oil poured over and top it with a sprinkle of sea salt. Although unconventional, it tastes heavenly.
Aromatized Olive Oils
The base for our aromatized oils is our own cold-pressed organic extra virgin olive oil. We delicately infuse the olive oil with organic essential oils of lemon, rosemary, chili or basil. These aromatized oils are beautifully designed to live on your table or counter, and can be incorporated into countless recipes or drizzled over any dish for enhanced flavour.

Balsamico from Modena
Our white balsamic vinegar consists of 100% grape must from the Trebbiano grape and is matured in ash casks for 5 years. We use ash casks to infuse aroma and taste into the balsamic vinegar, without changing its light color. Condimento Rosé and is infused with the aroma of roses and condimento Pomegranate with pomegranate juice. All three condimentos have a sweet and balanced taste. They present a perfect finishing touch when a dish or a drink needs a bit of acidity and sweetness.
Our dark Aceto Balsamico I.G.P. from Modena consists of 90% grape must that has a natural sweetness and is balanced by the sharp taste of 10% wine vinegar. With a perfect density, it lays beautifully on salads and creates a lovely balance between the sweet and the sour. It also works well in cooked dishes and sauces, and it is a delightfully surprising partner to our parmesan.

Linguette
Our Linguette (which translates to “small tongues” in Italian) are fluffy, flavourful crackers available in two varieties: rosemary or sea salt with pink peppercorns. They give an authentic taste of the Italian breadstrick, grissini, which makes them a delicious supplement, e.g., to antipasti.
Every single Linguette is handmade and baked at a lower temperature for a longer time, to achieve the thin crisp texture and golden colour.
In Italy, people not only eat Linguette as antipasti, but also as a substitute for bread with soup or salad. We recommend enjoying them with our truffle spreads and our parmesan.

ARTICHOKES
The artichokes are hand-grilled on a traditional grill, preserving their firmness and a good bite. They are coated in a mild herb-infused extra virgin olive oil that enhances rather than overpowers the delicate artichoke flavour. Our artichokes are of the Carciofo Violetto type, grown in the province of Foggia in southern Italy. Enjoy them in antipasti, pasta, risotto, or on pizza.
SEMIDRIED TOMATOES
Our semidried tomatoes are grown in the Lazio region of Italy, using the San Marzano variety for its rich flavour and the perfectly elongated shape. They are immersed in a flavourful herb-infused olive oil that enhances the taste of the tomatoes. Enjoy them as antipasti, in pasta or risotto, or on pizza.

Our parmesan is real Parmigiano Reggiano, produced in a small town west of Modena in the province Emilia Romagna, Italy. Here, generations of craftsmen work together in a shared passion for making the best parmesan cheese.
They have won one of the world’s finest prizes in the parmesan category, SUPER GOLD, ahead of 2,472 other cheeses – a wildly meaningful and well-deserved honour.

Italian Sea Salt, Pepper Mix and Truffle Salt in Glass Grinders
SEA SALT
Our large salt crystals are extracted from the purest Italian sea salt and have a beautiful snowwhite colour. After drying, the crystals are broken into pieces and thus get their distinctive and rustic size. The coarse pieces and bright white colour make the sea salt sparkle.
PEPPER MIX
To accompany the sea salt, we have developed an aromatic pepper mix of green and black peppercorns. The green peppercorns are milder than the classic aromatic black ones. They add a hint of citrus taste to the mix, which fits well into the Italian cuisine and appeals to our Nordic palates.
TRUFFLE SALT - AN EXCLUSIVE SPICE
Our truffle salt is made from large slices of dehydrated Italian black summer truffle and aromatic flake salt . The high content of truffle means that you immediately get the distinctive taste and aroma of truffle when you season your food.

Tomato Sauce
Our ready-to-serve tomato sauce is made from Piacentino tomatoes and cooked from a longstanding traditional Italian family recipe.
You can taste the warmth and sweetness of Italy in this tomato sauce. Combine it with any of our pastas for the perfect Pasta al Pomodoro, as the base of a pizza, or in a stew that needs a little extra love.

Our pasta is produced in Gragnano in Naples. We dry our pasta at a maximum of 25°C over several days. This slow drying at low temperatures ensures that all the wholesomeness and nutritional properties of the ingredients are preserved. The open, rough surface of our pasta allows sauce and oil to bind better, giving every dish a rich and glossy texture.

A little something sweet
CANTUCCINI
The classic almond cake that transports us back to our wonderful visits to Italy. It is made to be dipped in vin santo or served with good coffee. Our version of this Italian classic is crunchy and tastes of its pure ingredients: almonds, butter, honey and a hint of orange. These delicious cakes are also organic.
TORRONCINI
Our organic white nougat has a lovely, pure taste of almonds and honey. It is wrapped in small delicate pieces so they are easy to serve. In addition to the great taste, they have a delicious crunch.
BRUTTI MA BUONI
The name actually means “ugly but great”. Whether they are ugly, you will have to judge for yourself, but we promise that they taste good. Our small organic hazelnut cakes, with hazelnuts from Piemonte, are light and crispy and, of course, have the wonderful taste of hazelnuts.

HAZELNUT CHOCOLATE SPREAD
Our Nocciolata is a delicious and natural hazelnut chocolate spread, produced exclusively from the finest ingredients: 60% Piedmontese I.G.P. hazelnuts, considered some of the best in the world, 30% cane sugar, and 10% unsweetened cocoa.
PISTACIO SPREAD
The taste of roasted pistachios as a spread. This cream is made with 50% Sicilian pistachios, 40% sugar, 10% extra virgin olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Only pure ingredients without artificial additives. It complements bread, pastries, and ice cream in the best possible way.
FIG JAM
Our fig jam is naturally made with Italian figs, pure ingredients, and without artificial additives. It consists of only 74% figs and 26% sugar. Enjoy it with cheese (it pairs heavenly with our Parmesan cheese) and good bread.

Get inspired
Made by Mama was created based on our own life in Tuscany, Italy. Our products are not simply based on coincidences that have been decorated with nice labels. Instead, they are a result of close collaborations with our passionate, skilled and small producers, our uncompromising approach to taste and quality, and not least our philosophy of using 100% pure and natural ingredients.
