Steven Brody Hello,I'm

April certainly had its share of showers, and so we all look forward to the May flowers that will be blossoming around town. Our chamber membership blossomed last month with the addition of several new members, and we look forward to more memberships bearing fruit.

Speaking of blossoming, what an absolute joy to see the community flocking to the new Hobby Lobby and TJ Maxx stores which opened last month We look forward to the pending opening of Chipotle later this month and hopefully they will all become Chamber members in the future.

I had the pleasure of speaking to and meeting with 14 outstanding high school students participating in the Macomb Youth Leadership Organization (MYLO). Over the next few months, I will be working to match these students with area businesses for the purpose of job shadowing Your assistance and cooperation will be much appreciated.

The Chamber’s inaugural Cash Mob occurred on April 24. Thanks to everyone who came out and surprised All About Pieces with a little extra green in their cash register. Stay tuned for future Cash Mobs throughout the year.

The 2025-26 Community Guide and Business Directories were delivered and are now available for distribution and pick up. Please call our office if you would like to have some dropped off and we will be happy to come visit

The next Business After Hours will take place on May 21 at Woodrum Automotive. It will be held from 4:30-6pm, and as always, is only open to Chamber members as another benefit of membership Be sure to stop by as this one is sure to be well attended.

Shay Holland Hello,I'm

Welcome to May!

We’re excited to share some news from the Chamber!

Starting on May 9, our Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce gift certificates will be getting a brandnew look! We’ve updated the design to make them more personalized, easier to recognize, and a little more eye-catching just in time for the busy seasons ahead These gift certificates are a great way to keep spending local, and we’re proud of how many have passed through our recipients hands over the years.

Honoring Our Roots, Looking Ahead

The new design is more than just a visual refresh—it’s a celebration of the community’s unique character. We’ve incorporated nods to the area’s rich history and pop culture spirit of play, while ensuring that Chamber Gift Certificates remain an easy, convenient way to support our mission to choose local. It’s a blend of past and future that we hope both businesses and customers will be proud to use.

What’s Changing (Besides the Look)?

To help us continue offering this valuable program and cover the costs of materials and processing, we will be implementing a small increase to the redemption fee. Beginning July 1, the redemption fee will increase from 1.5% to 1.75% per certificate redemption transaction.

Marketing Director

We want to assure you this wasn’t a decision made lightly. The redemption fee has remained the same for over 10 years, and this modest adjustment will help us sustain the program for years to come.

Thank You for Your Support!

We’re grateful for your continued participation in the gift certificate program. It’s a powerful way to encourage local spending and support our community. Keep an eye out for the updated certificates soon!

My contact information is below and I encourage you to reach out; I promise no idea is too small and no question is too weird. That is what I, and the Macomb Area Chamber, are here for; to help you find the resources you need to be your most successful self!

See you around town! Let’s make it a great month!

Thank you to our members who have continued their annual investment with us as we can continue our partnership for another great year. We appreciate your support of the area business community.

Who accepts Chamber Gift Certificates?

Keep it in your community. Easy and Affordable.

What are Chamber Gift Certificates?

The Chamber Gift Certificate Program has been in existence since the mid 1980's. We sell Gift Certificates and they can be redeemed at participating member businesses. We sell nearly $200,000 worth of certificates every year, meaning all of that money stays in our region!

Only Chamber members who opt in to the Chamber Gift Certificate Program can accept certificates. Any Chamber member can opt in at any time. To be added to the list of 140+ area locations, contact our office and we’ll get you on the list.

How can I help promote the Chamber Gift Certificate Program?

We love when our members and the community help keep it local by promoting the Chamber Gift Certificate Program:

Buy them for your employees, family, friends, teachers, etc.: Chamber Gift Certificates are a win-win since Chamber gift certificates never expire, can be purchased in any amount, and you are keeping that money right here in the Macomb area.

Tell people about them. Friends and family are always looking for gift suggestions, so why not chime in with the perfect idea?

Due to rising material costs, we are making a small gift certificate redemption price adjustment - only the second time in 10 years.

Starting July 1, Redemption fees will be 1.75% instead of 1.5%.

This change helps us continue providing a quality gift certificate program while remaining affordable. Thank you for your understanding and support.
