The Macomb Business Academy is the perfect option for the area’s emerging leaders. Through a series of weekly sessions, which includes the annual Legislative Lunch, participants will have the opportunity to see first-hand how the community works. Each week features frank and honest discussions with community leaders on a variety of topics, tours, and behind-the-scenes look into many of Macomb’s most vital resources.

Hear from leading economic experts at our annual Economic Outlook Luncheon, featuring nationally recognized analysts from top financial organizations within the state talking about trends in the regional, state, and national economy.

The Government Affairs Committee hosts the annual Legislative Day in Springfield, a full-day bus trip, which offers community members a chance to travel directly to where state

representatives and government leaders work to address state and regional issues directly impacting the community, region, and state. Featuring a legislative panel, question and answer sessions, facility tours, and more; this event gives attendees an up close and personal look at legislation at a high level.

The Macomb Area Chamber is an enthusiastic advocate of the “Shop Local” initiative knowing, that every dollar spent locally improves our roads, schools, and overall quality of life.

Our Chamber Gift Certificate Program, open to all Chamber members, ensures nearly $200,000 of gift giving stays in our local economy every year, generating sales tax to ensure adequate funding for infrastructure, education, and public works projects.
