MacMedia is the official student monthly of McLaughlin College but does not speak on behalf of McLaughlin College—unless specifically specified by the Big Kahuna upstairs (in which case there’ll be a note). The opinions expressed herein are also not necessarily held by MacMedia or its staff (unless they’re really smart and dastardly written) but are a reflection of the current social outlook. Our goal is to act as an objective forum for constructive conceptual synthesis and intellectual thought—not as a community censor. Therefore, our content is only as strong as your contribution. Every month we publish a wide variety of studentwritten news, opinions, art, poetry, humour, fiction, photography, and everything in-between. Please feel free to contact us for any reason, including publishing dates, advertising, world domination, iguana preservation, puddle-pants, the whereabouts of Godzilla, or any other “topics of interest.” Please send all submissions and inquiries to macmedia.eic@gmail.com
EDITOR’S NOTE Have you been waiting for this? We know you have. Our February issue is back and hotter than ever. We’ve thought long and hard about this month’s issue all year long— and yes, that pun was intended. Our staff has been brainstorming the raunchiest topics for months now, just to fulfil your every wish. So, let’s talk about sex, baby. Actually, this issue is about a little bit more than just sex. Where do we even start? Let’s just get right into it: Eating The Booty (p. 20). This fascination has suddenly taken the world by storm, showing up everywhere in popular culture, from Jhene Aiko’s verse in Omarion’s song to some startling accusations about Drake. One of our sexperts felt the need to address this increasing obsession before it was too late for some of you. For those of you who have already indulged in the booty … there’s no turning back. From our very popular and knowledgeable fuccboiologist, we have a call-out to all of the men who will not engage in the act of oral sex on their women, but insist on getting some in return. We’re very sorry to tell you that you most likely are a fuccboi if you demand head but won’t return the favour. Actually, we’re not that sorry. Check out Eating Out: “I’m Full” (p. 6) to see what end of the spectrum you sit on while your girl isn’t sitting on your face. For those of you who will be getting down and dirty this Valentine’s Day, we know that you’ve probably given some thought into protection. You have to wrap your willy, pop your Alesse, and so on. But what if your significant other doesn’t use protection? Luckily for you, we have a personal account from one of our staff members about That Feeling When Your Girlfriend Doesn’t Use Protection (p. 4). Can’t wait until that special day to see what’s waiting for you under all of those clothes? Are you ready to request a nude, you impatient bastard? Or worse … Are you ready to send one that wasn’t asked for? You might want to think about that. Read about Why Nudes are Overrated (p. 16) before you re-watch that Blue Mountain State episode about aesthetically pleasing dick pics. With V-Day right around the corner, please also take a moment to read some of the fact-packed articles that we have this issue. Ever wondered why your Tom Jones or Winona Ryder is a bit darker than the rest of your body? You’ll probably want to learn about The Scientific Truth Behind Dark Penises and Lady Parts (p. 5). Seriously. You’ll learn something. And Let’s
Talk About Repro Rights (p. 10)—every girl should know their rights when it comes to their own body and every guy could learn a little something, too. When I said that this issue is about more than just sex, I meant it. We have two articles, side-by-side, battling it out to argue whether relationships can really work. Do you think that monogamy isn’t real? Then you might agree that Relationships are like Public Bathrooms (p. 22). Or maybe you’re on the opposite side of the argument, and you’re completely happy in your loving relationship or would like to be in one someday. In that case, you’re a fan of the ol’ Ball and Chain (p. 20). See which writer’s side you take; you may be surprised. Are you getting a little hot and bothered by how many different topics we cover this month? I told you that we were getting serious. There’s more inside if you just keep flipping those pages, like hauntingly beautiful poetry and some of the Sexiest Athletes Alive (p. 24). Don’t forget about the results of our Annual Anonymous Sex Survey (p. 18)! We know that you’ve been just itching to see who has the same fetishes as you and how many people have done the dirty on campus. This year’s responses were crazier than ever … and we absolutely loved them. We don’t want to keep you waiting—even though anticipation is key when it comes to sex. Time to dive in. (We apologize for all of the cheesy dirty jokes and sexual innuendos made.) Janae Diaz Editor-in-Chief

TFW Your Girlfriend Doesn’t Use Protection James Zhan | Staff Writer Have you ever had a moment, when you are in a state of great urge and excitement, but then you need to make a very critical decision? No? That’s fine! Because I have, when I was in bed with my (then) new girlfriend. When I was still in high school, I finally got my crush’s heart and we were in a very heated relationship. I later on found out that she was very physically developed, and, unlike my ex’s, rather horny. I thought, oh well, it was probably nothing bad, although I wasn’t particularly a huge fan of having a lot of sex. We were living in a house with our classmates; one night, our classmates all went out and we were alone, so naturally we seized the chance to make out in my bed. By that time, we had never had sex with each other yet. As the heat increased between us, I started to undress her and unhook her bra with one hand successfully (for once, thank god). We were naked in no time. But I wasn’t thinking about having sex, because I didn’t have any condoms and I knew she was not on any birth control. All I wanted was anything other than intercourse—I mean, getting naked together doesn’t necessarily mean penetration, right? Well, apparently, it was a yes to her, because she just grabbed my thing and moved to sit on me. I panicked and stopped her just in time. “Whoa! What the hell are you doing?” “What, you have never done this before?” “No—I mean yes! But we need protection and I don’t have any!” My mind just went blank. A hot naked girl was on me, her hand on my thing, and her vagina was just right there—what was I doing? Part of me urged me to just do it, while the other part was like Nooooo! We were both very aroused and it was definitely 4 | MACMEDIA
not a good moment to think rationally in the slightest. “Oh, honey, don’t worry,” she begged softly. GODDAMMIT. Just as I was about to give up to my desire, guess what? My parents’ scolding faces came to my mind as rescue. I could see my dad’s “arresting face” (he’s a cop) and my mom telling me where and how I would suffer eternally in Hell had I knocked up someone I didn’t marry, which got me thinking how extremely heinous it would be if I actually accidentally got my girlfriend pregnant, because I was only in high school and abortion was out of the question—it was just too horrible. And why the hell was my boner still there? No, no, no! James, you cannot do this, part of me told myself. But look, she’s all wet, the other part of me argued. And it feels better without a condom! Okay, it seemed that focusing on the present wouldn’t work; I needed a different angle. So, I proceeded to imagine the consequences of unprotected sex in more details: if she was pregnant, then the baby must be born, which meant my whole life would be completely changed—I wouldn’t be able to have the money or time for studying full-time in university, which had been my dream for many years, and I would be trapped with this girl who I had merely known for a week for the rest of my life! I was only 18, for crying out loud! I wanted to sleep with more girls! No, this had to stop! But it was too late.
THE SCIENTIFIC TRUTH BEHIND DARK PENISES AND LADY PARTS Nick Catania | News Editor Bananas come in all different shapes, colours and sizes – it’s a known fact. Some are soft, ripe, and you can even freeze them for banana bread if they discolour to the point of no return! But have you ever looked down and noticed that your Tom Jones has discoloured with age? If you look a little closer, you might also notice that your nipples aren’t just changing with satisfaction. This goes for the ladies’ special parts below the belt, too. Regardless of male or female sex, your genitals are a different colour than the rest of your body. Whether you like it or not, your hormones are to thank for this natural process of dyeing the sensual parts. Dermatological experts, Dr. Rokhsar and Dr. Bordone weigh in on the scientific reasoning behind this pubescent phenomenon. As young people, the pigment of our skin is biologically light from head to toe – regardless of race. Once puberty hits, our sex hormones begin to produce an amino acid called melanin. This acid is also responsible for changing our hair colour from light blonde to darker shades. The estrogen and testosterone in our bodies then regulate to what is known as melanocytes, the skin cells which produce melanin. “Hormones regulate the way melanocytes produce their pigment. Those can have an effect on the way skin in that area pigments, so generally [the special part] is darker,” as told by Dr. Rokhsar. While these hormones greatly affect the darkening of your Dock Rogers, there are other elements you can prevent if you
don’t like casting shades in the basement. According to the doctors, tight friction in these private areas can also influence the darkening to occur. This happens because the skin is trying to protect itself, hence the thickening. For men, shaving your Shawn Mendes or itching and scratching it can also cause this to happen. Friction heavily affects athletes as well based on possible spandex situations when competing or training. Check your scrotums, because if you ever thought tight pants were a good idea, think again! But men aren’t the only ones who suffer. When women become pregnant or start taking birth control pills, a heightened level of estrogen is surged throughout the body. This will have an influence on the pigmentation of a woman’s face, in addition to developing a dark line around the abdomen. Although this hormonal change happens with puberty, an increase in darkening can also lead to a series of other healthrelated problems. If a person gains weight, they can develop a skin condition that leads to “velvety discolouration” in the groin and other areas. Weight aside, certain discolouration can also indicate increased levels of insulin. Check your necks and armpits before your peckers and puppies, because this could be a sign of diabetes. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3390863/ Revealed-penis-nipples-darker-rest-skin-Sex-hormones-triggerpigmentation-puberty-sign-diabetes.html

Eating the Booty Juan Lopez | Humour Editor
Look, I’m sorry if this is your cup of tea, but there’s a serious dilemma that needs to be addressed. It has come to my attention that in this day and age, today’s youth have an increasing obsession with planting one’s face (male or female – it happens both ways) into another person’s anus and proceeding to eat it. Does that sound pleasant to you? No, of course not. Yet people are still doing it. Why? Now, don’t get me wrong – I love the booty. I worship the booty. My girlfriend’s booty is 10/10, all day, everyday. But I would never eat that booty, as magnificent as it is. I don’t know if it’s a question of sexual satisfaction, or trying new things, but some things just shouldn’t be done. Take a minute to realize where that booty has been. It could be sweaty. It could be dirty. Please, spread awareness. Save a human soul, one mouth at a time. A quick Google search (on web, not images) turns up thousands of videos, articles and blogs all talking about what eating ass is, people’s experiences, and even a guide on how to do it. Most guides show you how to do something properly, but one in particular stood out to me because it highlights all the things that can go wrong, which is exactly what I’m going to tell you can go wrong if you eat the booty. 6 | MACMEDIA

Your partner doesn’t trim, and now you have ass hair stuck in your braces. They didn’t wipe it down or clean it out. Your lover farts in your face … or worse. You get sucked up into a world of doodoo and die from fecal asphyxiation.
I don’t want this to happen to any of you. These are all terrible consequences of going down under the backdoor, and it’s very easy to avoid this fate. Just don’t do it. Don’t grab that ass, don’t spread the cheeks, and don’t slam your face in the crack. Just don’t. Again, I don’t know why exactly people eat the booty. I don’t understand the desire or the pleasure that people get from doing it. So I want to hear from you guys, YorkU students. Tell me why you enjoy or don’t enjoy eating that booty, and maybe a personal experience you’ve had. All responses will remain anonymous. Send them to macmedia.eic@gmail.com, and I’ll be sure to either nod approvingly or shake my head in disgust at your responses.

Mr. Bast, the prettiest beast— He is the one that brought me back from the dead. He’d hold me tight on dark nights Passionate and hot, Sweet like Valerie. I was unable to see again, He blinded me Golden and valuable. His performance was jarring; Like a baby, innocent and lost
His artful influence stuck in my mind, like the smell of Vodka, Rum, and, Grappa That gorgeous brown long hair, Slicked back. His big dark eyes And soft lips. Tools to take me with him. Eating me— The scars of manipulation I taste pleasure and sin. All I see is black, black, black. He killed my purity I cannot escape Aspiring his darkness— As everything I desire. It smells like Versace, as I rot in the ground. I am superior; Excellence on a pedestal. His potent mind, always persuading me Keeping me there. At 3 in the morning, one time, I tried to leave, But he said: “Take my hand, come back”. I hear it again, and, again Satisfaction He’s here. He reassures me: “you’re perfect” My eyes, hair, nose, chin, cheeks. He’s looking— Shh That penetrating stare. I can’t leave I love the dark,

Eating OUt: Im FUll
Jason Rivas | Features Editor
This month’s piece will be an open letter – no – a call-out to all the “gentlemen” who do not perform oral on their female partners: BRUH, WTF? I hear all of you singing along to Jhené Aiko’s now infamous lyric, “But he gotta eat the booty like groceries.” I see you nodding your heads in agreement to Kevin Gate’s booty-eating rant (please read Juan Lopez’s rant on that cultural phenomenon). Y’all are willing to stoop to the poop but are disgusted by the thought of putting your tongue inside the wonderland that you are so impatiently waiting to put your member in? Where’s the logic in that? Are you a fuccboi? (see my previous November article on fuccbois). Now, I know ladies can also perform oral on other ladies, but, for the sake of this article, I am addressing the boys, because they are the ones who are the most vocal against it. Since grade school, I’ve been told by other boys that they refuse to “lick a pussy.” I can already hear the chorus of boys, “But…she pees from there!” “It smells like fish!” “It tastes funny!” First of all, she doesn’t directly pee from there, so there goes that argument. Women urinate from the urethra, which is right above the vagina and below the clit. This is not where you’ll be sticking your tongue or weenie. But, boys do pee and ejaculate from the

same hole, so there’s that. Vaginas smell? I mean, yours would too, if it was constantly cramped up in layers of underwear and pants whilst you move around, getting to and from work, school, the gym, etc. Oh wait, doesn’t that sound like another sexual organ we’ve all heard of and seen too many pictures of? Ah, yes, the penis. Does your dick smell wonderful? Did 2 Chainz spray Febreze on it? I think not. I’m sure it does taste funny and lyrics like, “My pussy taste like Pepsi Cola” by Lana Del Rey sure doesn’t help (which by the way, if your pussy tastes like Pepsi Cola: 1. You should get checked out and 2. Why couldn’t it taste like the good stuff – Coca Cola?). Here’s the thing: it’s not supposed to taste “good.” It’s not supposed to taste like the rainbow or your favourite dish. It’s a vagina. It has multiple functions, and in this context it has a sexual function. I’ve never heard a legitimate reason against going down on a girl aside from “I don’t like it.” This response is the only one that has any validity in it. You’re just not into it and that’s okay, you do not have to do anything you don’t want to do without your consent, especially sexual interactions. My issue isn’t with that, but with the utter refusal matched with other expectancies. Let me give it to you straight – if you expect a woman to suck your dick, then why can’t she expect you to do the same
for her? There’s this blurry misconception that women should automatically be down to schnob on your knob (S your D) in every sexual interaction. Should she refuse to, she’s: a prude, too hard to get, and inconsiderate of your needs. The boys – fuccbois really – who refuse to give head to girls, but expect head from said girls, are the same ones who probably think they’re good at sex too. Oral sex is an important part of foreplay. It helps both partners release the necessary juices for a smooth ride, helps an uncircumcised man stretch out his foreskin so that it does not get caught folding in on itself (super uncomfortable and dangerous), and it can really help stimulate and excite a woman. If this sexual interaction is romantic, oral sex is another way to show your partner love. It is another form of pleasure that we can provide to our lovers. It’s the build-up to an even greater euphoria. Hell, if it’s just sex and nothing more, women will talk about your tongue-game if you go down, and you can actually be good at it. There’s nothing more braggadocious than saying you made a woman cum before you even did the do. There is nothing like going up for air and feeling hands push you back down. Nothing like getting your hair pulled from her pleasure. Sex is a pleasure of equality. What you expect your partner to do, your partner can expect from you. I’m sure not every girl likes to give head. Why do they do it? In a romantic sense, they often want to please their man. Our culture has also made it so that we connote female on male oral sex as a large part of sex, but not male on female. Another larger and more serious obstacle is masculinity and the devaluing of female sexuality. Pornography, music, and movies have done little for the act of female sexual pleasure. Pornography has had the biggest effect on male knowledge of sexual interaction. For many boys, this is where they encounter sex in its rawest form for the first time. Often times, large portions of these films are spent on the actor receiving oral sex and then him proceeding to have sex with the actress until he ultimately finishes inside or goes for the money shot. Very little of the film is spent on the actor pleasing the female orally. Often times, it is just for a few moments before he begins vaginal sex. This equates, in most popular pornography, to sex being only a male pleasure. This phenomenon has become so apparent that some adult film companies have created video series directed towards women. How can you tell? The sex is usually more “romantic” (yes, porn can be romantic too) and long spells of the film are spent on the actress’s pleasure. The actress is eaten out for long sections of the film and shown to receive pleasure in other forms as well. These female-oriented films are largely outnumbered by their maleoriented film counterparts. Pornography often promotes male dominant roles in sex. Popular music is saturated by lyrics referencing female on male oral sex and objectification of women. When artists, like Nicki Minaj, mention of being pleasured, “Maybe it’s time you put this pussy on your sideburns,” they are ridiculed for it and slut-shamed. How many #1 hits do you know that make direct reference to male on female oral sex? Feminine sexuality and
pleasure is oppressed. Why does this matter? When a male, who only knows sex by what he is taught in pornography and music, sexually encounters a female who has not been allowed to explore her own sexual identity, the cycle continues. I have personally heard my own male peers vocally condemn women for wanting to be eaten out: “She wanted me to eat her out! Like, what the fuck, man? She said she wouldn’t give me head if I didn’t eat her out, so I dipped.” I’m sure that there are many girls who would really enjoy being eaten out, but they are too afraid of asking out fear or “offending” her partner, or even being unsure of her partner’s willingness. Often times, it all comes down to laziness and impatience. Sex should be enjoyed by both partners (or however many people are involved, you kinky SOBs). It’s quite apparent when a male has reached orgasm, but it’s not that simple with the ladies. Should you wish to make your partner cum, or at least help the process along, then eating her out can really be the difference between a 6/10 experience and an 8/10. If you’ve noticed that she is not as wet as you’d like, forget the lube, get down there and get sloppy! Think of eating out like this: it is the buttered bread before a three-course meal. You may not really care for it, but you can’t let that bread go to waste. It’s the best way to get the juices flowing before the mouth-watering meal that awaits you. Do you love her? Eat your girl out and thank me later. Are you just DTF and nothing else? Eat her out and thank me later. Coming back to the excuse of “I don’t like it.” It’s okay not to like it. What’s not okay is refusing to do it or saying you don’t like it, and then expecting a woman to put your dick her mouth without complaints. It’s a two-way street, my friends. Personally, I take more pride in my tongue-game than my dick-game, but ultimately, I just enjoy pleasing my lady. Ladies, never trust a man who doesn’t eat you out; he probably doesn’t know how to please a woman regardless of how “good” he thinks his dick-game is.

An Open Letter to My “Almost Relationship” Anonymous | Contributor Dear you-know-who-you-are, Where do I start? Writing this letter alone poses the difficult task of translating the endless stream of thoughts that run wild in my mind, into a beautiful amalgamation of words that would make you understand how I feel. To this, I say, I will try my best. We weren’t in a relationship but we weren’t just friends. We were caught amidst a grey area. A grey area where the phrase “seeing one another” was our label. A grey area where the term “dating,” was a possibility that loomed over our heads as our lips welcomed each other like old friends. I was overly happy being in the grey area as long as you were there with me. I believed that over time the grey area would evolve into a breathtaking entity, where the only grey I would know of was the outdated paint of my classroom. I was certain that the grey area would be a state of the past for you and me. As the dog days of summer drew to a close, and the leaves on the trees began to fall, I was right there with them. I began to fall increasingly intrigued and amazed about the person you are. The feelings that brewed within me went far beyond being attracted to your hazel gems and that goddamn smile of yours. Anyone can be physically attracted to another, but I knew that I fell in love with much more than that; your unique way of thinking, your complex view on the world, the endless passion that radiated from your presence, the kindness you expressed ... the reasons are never ending. To pinpoint a single element that made me feel the way I did about you, is like asking a mother to pick her favourite child – it is something that cannot be done. However, I was able 10 | MACMEDIA
to pinpoint that you were different. From the tips of your hair to the ends your toes, I knew that I had never come across a more awing creature in my life. Yet, why do all good things come to an end? I guess if there was a definite answer for this, my mind wouldn’t exhaust itself searching aimlessly to produce a fulfilling response. The months we had together were far from boring. They were ecstatic, eyeopening – a convoluted path of emotions that left me thankful at the end of the day that I was even able to share my days with such a wonderful person. However, I want you to know a few things that I wasn’t able to say to your face. I believed in us. I knew that we had the potential to be great together. Though I can never be mad at you for ending what we had, just know it fucking sucked. I couldn’t think of a worse way to end off 2015 and welcome the New Year. I had spent the latter half of the year giving you my everything – all the emotional support you needed when you were down, the encouragement when you talked about getting more involved with activities you loved, and all the qualities one would expect in a significant other. I exceeded those expectations. So, here I ask: why? Why wasn’t this enough for you? The explanation you gave me for ending what we had was nothing close to satisfying. It left me like a deer in headlights as this sudden ending wasn’t something I had predicted. How do you go from holding hands while strolling downtown Toronto in one week, to breaking hearts the next? I just don’t understand. Lastly, do you remember that time you called me your “friend”? You don’t know how it feels to have the person you care about most call you their friend
when you sure as hell know that you were fucking more than that. After all, do you make out with all your “friends”? Though, I want to say thank you. Thank you for making me a better person. Thank you for taking me to places in Toronto that I didn’t even know about. Thank you for making me try new food. Thank you for making me feel fucking alive. And thank you for allowing me to be a chapter in your life, even if it is one that you may never come back to. As the new year progresses, I feel my days drag on as I shuffle from class to class, feeling your spirit drifting along, serving as a reminder that you will always be a part of me, despite our fallout. There is not a moment that I do not search amongst the masses of students to look for that familiar face. I will never forget the memories we created as they sit at the back of my head like pictures on a shelf. I guess it is time to move on, and maybe this letter serves as the conclusion to this chapter in my book. And I suppose that all the plans I had for you and I in 2016 will be tucked away. I could have written this letter in a thousand ways, but no way would ever measure up to everything I want to say. You may never come across this, and until we meet again, this time as actual friends, I wish you nothing short of happiness. To quote a lyric we both held dearly, “If I could have it back, all the time we spent wasting, I’d only waste it again.” Never again to be yours, L.

Why It’s Not That Big of a Deal to lose your virginity (from a girl’s point of view) Tabitha Peters | Copy Editor
12 | MACMEDIA
Losing your virginity is something special, right? People say it’s supposed to be this huge, concentrated event that only happens once in your life…and that it’s a serious matter. The build up towards it is more intense than you think. That’s when you first become a ‘real’ woman they say – after you’ve had sex. That’s a lie! What, you become an adult after being penetrated with someone’s penis? I don’t think so. What really counts as losing your virginity? A penis enters the vagina. That’s it? It may hurt a little since you’re going to be extremely tight, so brace yourself, and have lube handy. Foreplay should count as part of the process, since that’s where most orgasms occur, and that’s where sparks fly, and all that other dripping, and amazing stuff happens. I don’t know why, but most girls make it a bigger deal than others. Some girls just don’t care who will ‘de-flower their hooha’ or who would be the ‘popper of their cherry.’ We envision our first time to have happened already on prom night, or when the words ‘I love you’ are exchanged, but in reality, this rarely happens anymore. Nowadays, if you’re still waiting for that special someone, I highly doubt it’ll happen, mostly because we are too fucking horny. In our generation, a girl’s virginity is flaunted around for everyone to know. It doesn’t seem to be a big deal anymore like it used to be. Girls I speak to nowadays seem to be losing it just to ‘get it over with,’ and honestly, who cares if that’s the reason? It’s more of an urge that needs to be filled (pun intended), instead of bracing yourself for a life-changing moment. The first time is always a bit bumpy since you’re experiencing if it hurts or not. People tend to overthink the situation and honestly, you don’t even get the ‘real feeling’ of it until the third or fourth time. Just make sure you use a condom, and if needed; be on birth control. Some girls think that they will get easily attached to the first person they have sex with … Fuck that! You’re going to be filled with too much adrenaline and nerves to be focusing on the guy’s name, let alone be attached to him afterwards. You’re already mentally preparing yourself for how it feels, when at this point, if you’d already been fingered, it’s similar, but just a bigger object enters your hooha. Some of my friends lost theirs before I did, so I’d always ask them what it was like and how it felt; it was a big deal for me…at the time. I lost my virginity to someone that I was really good friends with and it unexpectedly turned into something more a while after it happened. I didn’t wait until I was in a relationship like most people would want, and I didn’t go into it expecting any commitment. We didn’t plan anything; it was all in the moment and it just happened. I felt so comfortable with him that when it did occur, I had no regrets whatsoever. Yes, I’ll always remember my first, and I am glad it was him. I only advise that when you lose your virginity, you should be comfortable with the person you’re with and you should be comfortable in your own body. Having a friendship
with someone first, or even attempting the term ‘friends with benefits’ is more accurate these days than waiting to be in a relationship. Having sex is meant to be satisfying, and we shouldn’t always have to wait until we’re in a committed relationship to experience it. I also don’t think it’s something that should be overanalyzed too much. It’s just the mechanical works that will give you amazing orgasms if he’s hitting it right. Don’t do it thinking it will have a huge impact on your life; it’s simply one bump in the road to finding out what kind of stuff you’re into. Plus, isn’t that what life is about? Taking chances and getting messy?

“Kill Them with Kindness”— or don’t. You’ll totally get screwed over. J. Cunsolo
| Contributor Hey, boys. Do you have a friend that’s a girl who’s always nice to you? I’m talking genuine smiles, flirting, funny text conversations, hello and goodbye hugs? Chances are, she’s totally into you. Or not. Probably not. 99% sure not. How do I know? I’m that girl – that genuinely nice girl that guys always think is flirting with them. I’m kind to everyone – always smiling, always genuinely concerned about other people and putting their needs above my own. But, a nice smile doesn’t translate into the “come hither” look. Just because I’m not looking at you with a bitch face does not mean I’m sending you the “do me” eyes. I’m just genuinely being nice. Boys, say it with me: just because she’s being nice, does not mean she’s flirting with me. And I’m really not. I need more than two hands to count the number of times my genuine kindness to the opposite sex has screwed me over. A lot of my close guy friends mistake my kindness for being interested in them, which ends in one of two ways: our relationship becomes strained and awkward and never goes back to normal, or they can’t handle the rejection and turn

bat shit crazy (I usually get the second one, lucky me!). Let me clarify here: I’m not sending nudes, or flirting, or doing anything that even remotely signals that I’m interested; people just always think nice girls are flirting. I’m not going to just stop being nice, because it’s who I am and I like making other people happy. What I hate is when it backfires and they express their deepest, sincerest, heartfelt feelings for me, and I’m still too nice to break their heart. So I have to let them down in an awkwardly gentle way that still makes me feel like a class-A bitch. Don’t get me wrong. Maybe the girl that’s being nice to you is actually into you, and you ask her out, and she says yes, and life’s great, and you ride off into the sunset together. But if she says no, you cannot, and I repeat, CANNOT turn into an immature little boy and throw a colossal sized bitch-fit. Just be yourself! Things will eventually go back to normal if you act normal, and I’m more than willing to forget about it if you are. What I’m not willing to forget is the fact that you bitched me out and made me question why I was friends with you in the first place. Most recently, a close friend of mine told me he really liked me and asked me out, taking me totally off-guard. I (very gently) let him down, saying that I’m focusing on school, and not interested in a relationship with anyone, and we’re better as friends, and blah, blah, blah. I thought we were cool and that we could pretend it never happened and everything would go back to normal. It did not. And he made damn sure it never would. He became an insecure little bitch and started spreading rumors and talking shit and just generally being a total psycho. It started off small, like leaving a room when I’m in it or sending me dirty looks. Then he started talking shit, saying that “for someone who goes to the gym so often, she’s still pretty fat,” and some other unnecessary bullshit. (He even told things to my best friend, as if she’s not going to tell me the second he’s done). Then he really dialed up the bitch-fit, telling our friends that I’m desperately in love with him, and how I slept with him, and which positions we did – none of which happened, not even in his wildest dreams (which is probably why he couldn’t come up with better sex details). Then he turned the dial up from bitch-fit to psycho, tailing me in his car for hours, calling me to breathe heavily, and hang up (yes, I have caller ID dumbass; I know it’s you), and some other restraining-order-worthy things. I don’t know what he’s trying to accomplish here; he’s not making me consider dating him. I’m not going to be all, “Oh, you’ve made me fall for you with your psychotic tendencies and creepy actions.” The only thing he’s making me consider is his sanity, and whether a restraining order is really necessary. Of course, my friends feel the need to remind me that these things always happen to me (this isn’t the first time someone has thrown a bitch-fit, but it is the first time they’ve become psychotic), because I’m too nice to everyone.
But I refuse to let people’s inability to differentiate between being nice and flirting dictate how I interact with others. I refuse to send the message to nice girls everywhere that we need to censor our actions to avoid situations that are completely not our fault. I bought a homeless man lunch, does it mean I want to jump his bones? No! I brought you a coffee before the class we have because I know you were up all night studying. Does it mean I have wet dreams about you? HELL NO! I’m. Just. Nice. Maybe I am interested in you, and you ask me out, and I say yes – but if I say no, don’t throw a bitch-fit. Grow a pair and get over it. I’m sure there are plenty of other girls that are actually flirting with you who would say yes. Let us nice girls be just that: nice.

Some of our favourite responses Faking an orgasm is: • Acceptable sometimes ... You're tired or he's just trying way too hard and it's like ... Buddy. Come on. It's not happening. Let me make you feel like you did something and fake a moan. • Unacceptable, how is someone supposed to improve if you fake an orgasm? The guy is gonna think he's hot shit when he really actually sucks. • I think faking an orgasm could be both acceptable and unacceptable. Faking an orgasm may be acceptable if you are aware that your partner has not "been in the game" for a while, is not "experienced," or if it is his or her first time and you do not want to hurt their feelings. Faking could (possibly) lend them some confidence instead of scaring them off from engaging in sexual encounters. However, I do believe faking an orgasm is unacceptable because it may lead to some negative consequences. While a partner's feelings may not be hurt, faking an orgasm can lead to your partner having inaccurate feedback about what works during sex or can damage trust.
What is your ultimate sexual fantasy? • Having sex with a hot TA in a classroom • Being financially stable • Eating out Kim Kardashian
What is your most embarrassing/strangest/funniest sexual experience? • Having anal sex it can always be a bit embarrassing if you are the receptive partner and think/hope your hole is clean but the condom/penis ends up with some shit on it. What can you do? Such is life. • When she tried to seduce me by doing a naked handstand and fell on her head. Like, what the fuck? • I've some pretty interesting sexual experiences, from an orgy, to a foursome, to fucking on a park bench, to running around downtown in lingerie, to being a cam girl. But I believe the tip of the hat goes to that one time I was at my best friend’s house. My drug dealer and I had a thing at the time, strictly sexual. He was in my best friend’s room listening to music and I came in. Her two other roommates were also home, just hanging out, high on valium, weed, coke, and booze, as per usual in that house. We all were pretty high. So it seems my best friend and the dealer were talking about fetishes and how he likes to be watched and she likes to watch. Next thing I know, I'm riding him on the bed with my best friend not even centimetres away on a chair with her head phones in watching. On occasion, her two roommates would pass by the open door and peep in to make comments. One was pushing the other in one of those trolley carts back and forth through the house, and stopping by the door to make sports-like commentary on my performance. I thought that was pretty jokes. “Send me a pic ;)” How about no? How about fuck no? I cannot, for the life of me, understand why people insist on believing that romance depends on a poorly-lit-two-second Snapchat of what may be my cleavage or the skin between my elbow. Yes, I know it’s “a little preview ;),” but didn’t your mother raise you with the decency to know that good things come to those who wait? If you know that there’s a possibility to see it in person within the next two weeks, then have some patience and rub it out to PornHub’s amateur section. I’m not saying that they’re not needed, but if somebody’s not offering, then why the fuck are you demanding? Let there be a little bit of mystery! Wait to see it in person or be happily (and I do mean, happily) surprised with a little something-something while you’re sitting at Easter Dinner next to your grandma. Aren’t those the best ones – the ones you didn’t beg for? And to be honest … most nudes are pretty unappealing, if I do say so myself. Booty pic? Nice. Great. You look like Kim K. You’ve been doing your squats, girl. I appreciate you. A little cleavage or braless shot? Okay, yeah, that can be attractive if they’re not super small (shout out to all of my A-Cup Rocky girls) or saggy. Seriously, did you not wear a bra until prom? Lift those puppies up. Victoria has a secret and it’s that she can’t help you if you won’t help yourself. Dick pics are not cute. Dick pics are not sexy. I’ve never opened a surprise dick pic at three in the morning and said, “Wow! Beautiful boner you’ve got there. I can’t wait to put that in and around my mouth. I’m wet.” And don’t even try to tell me that you’ve learned about the aesthetically pleasing dick shots
from Blue Mountain State, because I watched that episode and that shit will not work. (I am the Netflix Queen!) Penises are ugly. I’m definitely not the first girl to say this, but I’ll be the first to write a MacMedia article about it – they’re ugly. Small, big, thick, skinny – it does not fucking matter because they’re not cute, okay? Every time I receive a dick pic, I just think, “Not today, Satan.” I didn’t ask for this. Do you know how many unsolicited dick pics us girls receive? Where are you going with this, guys? What if I screenshot this and send it to all of my friends with a joke about the way that it curves a bit to the right? Huh? Did you think about all of this before you tried – and failed – to turn me on? And don’t even get me started on vaginas. I have one, alright? I maintain it – shout out to Netta at Orchyd Spa – but that doesn’t mean that it’ll ever be picture ready. I’ve never felt the overwhelming urge to photograph my vagina because that’s not what it’s supposed to be for. I remember that there was a rumour in my area that another girl from another high school took a fullfrontal video of her (ahem) enjoying her own company. I can’t help but wonder … why? This article has no real purpose, to be honest. It’s just me ranting about nudes and that you can definitely wait until you can enjoy the real thing. I mean, sure, if you’re in a long distance relationship, then I guess that’s all you have. So that’s alright. But just remember: dicks and vaginas are way too aggressive to ever be aesthetic.

It’s like the unofficial first step into getting married. Maybe. But so many people are scared to actually dive into a long-term relationship. Now, long-term doesn’t have to mean 5 or 10 years; the couple determines whether they’ve been in a long-term or committed relationship, so you’ll know when you’re in one. There’s nothing wrong with being in any relationship, but there are differences between short- and long-term. Speaking from the experience, as I’m currently in a relationship of 5 years and counting, you start to notice differences with your relationship; some positive, others not so much. Getting to know someone for the first time is pretty exciting and as you start getting used to that person, you may find out that maybe they weren’t all that you had expected or hoped for in a partner. Now, assuming you haven’t gone too deep in the relationship, this is your cue to get out. The most obvious point may be that you are limiting yourself to one person. Let’s be honest, a great majority of teens don’t want to limit themselves to one person until they’ve had their fun in university or college. Everyone enjoys alcohol and drugs, which more often than not lead to sex, friends with benefits, threesomes, and some other sexual stuff. Probably the biggest complaint that I hear from people who don’t want a committed relationship is that they’re not sure if it’s worth their time. Well, how do you know? You need to get to
know someone (duh) before you start dating them. But there’s nothing wrong with entering a short-term relationship with the possibility of making it long-term. “If it doesn’t work out, then I wasted my time.” Not true. There’s so many things a shortterm relationship teaches you, like understanding how to begin a relationship, understanding yourself and your wants and needs better, knowing what you’re looking for, and so on. I’m not saying relationships are for everyone, or that longterm is the way to go just because I’m in one. But what I am saying is that it’s not so bad. The ol’ ball and chain is great to have. I see it as having someone there for you always, finding someone you love, and enjoying each other’s company. And if anything happens to the relationship, then it’s also not a waste. I’ve enjoyed the time that I spent with my partner, and I’m not going to deny that or lie about it because of a break up. Being in a long-term relationship has ups and downs, sure. I’m not saying it’s gonna be perfect. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry; you’ll live and learn. That’s the whole point of life too. The difference between being single and being in a relationship just shows that I’d prefer to have someone by my side while going through it all.

Relationships are like public bathrooms Tatiana Prisiajny | Web Manger

Relationships are like public bathrooms. They are everywhere, yet those who wait are desperate to get inside, and those inside can’t wait to get out. In theory, a forever sweetheart sounds nice, but in reality and according to science“long term”, just isn’t in the books. Juan may have tried to win you over with why long-term, committed relationships are the bees’ knees, but I’m here to give you a reality check. Listen up!
More options than ever Okay, I get it. Back in the Stone Age, long-term relationships made sense because options were limited. Heck, people married their cousins. But in the age of social media, temptation is just a click or swipe away – why resist the opportunity? Break up, take some time, and on to the next! Life is an adventure.
Expensive Regardless of how money savvy you are, relationships drain your wallet. You’re in a relationship after all – you can’t be selfish and think only about yourself. Holidays, dinner dates, birthdays, anniversaries – the list of cheesy expenses goes on. The options of things to buy also becomes hard when you’ve exhausted all the possible options over the course of your longterm relationship. Keep the fling short and sweet.
We are living longer Regardless of what Disney has told you, forever doesn’t exist. The days of “till death do us part” are long gone. Decades ago, long-term relationships were a thing because life expectancy was shorter. And when the rules of marriage were created, humans only lived till about 40. Thanks to advancements in medicine and technology, the median life expectancy has increased and relationships end up running their course while we still live on.
Monogamy isn’t real Life is short, and long-term relationships mean overall less partners in a lifetime. If Amy Schumer’s movie, Trainwreck, taught you anything, it’s that monogamy isn’t real. The fact is, less than 6 percent of the estimated 5,000 species of mammals, including humans, are known to form monogamous bonds. Why be paranoid about a potentially unfaithful partner whose freedom is limited due to being in a committed relationship, when you can break up and move along toward a series of short term flings? Monogamy is nothing more than a social construct invented for order in society; it’s not natural, nor is it realistic. Our instinctual desires will lead us astray sooner or later, and you don’t want to mess with nature.
Power over your emotions Investing yourself into a long-term relationship allows you to, over time, become comfortable with your partner – comfortable to the point that this person will soon have complete power over your mood. Boyfriend not answering texts? That’s an excuse to feel ALL THE RAGE. Girlfriend making you spend two hours at Sephora? That’s an excuse to hate your life. Sure, relationships make you feel good, but they can also make you feel damn miserable. With every high, comes a low, but is it really worth putting yourself through that kind of emotional mayhem? I didn’t think so.
People Change Change is good. After all, if you don’t change your surroundings, you don’t grow as a person and you end up becoming a boring old slob. Regardless of how well-intentioned you may be at the start of the relationship, down the line, people will change. The goals, passions, and interests that first attracted you to your partner will inevitably change over time. Unless you’re conforming to your partner’s path at the cost of your individuality … Then you’re also changing, which means it’s time to move on and out of the long-term relationship.

MEN 1. Cristiano Ronaldo When you think of a soccer player in 2016 in terms of skill, you are most likely going to think about Lionel Messi. But, that’s not what this list is about. And there’s no denying that the ladies love Cristiano Ronaldo. The jawline, the cheekbones, the abs … Ronaldo has women (actually, everyone) all over the world melting at his very presence. 2. LeBron James Despite his hairline that can’t seem to decide where it wants to be, there is no denying that “The King” is a good looking dude. And all you have to do is quickly browse his Instagram account to see a shirtless picture and how ripped and shredded he is. There’s no denying just about every man on planet earth would love to have LeBron’s physique and athletic ability. He’s got it going on. 3. Tom Brady Perhaps the most famous NFL player is New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady, and while he may not have a LeBron James-esque physique, he’s also not a bad looking dude. In fact, while his wife may be super model Gisele Bundchen, he himself has got super model looks. It’s a big reason why he is not only the most famous NFL player, but the most hated. There is no deny that Tom Brady is a good looking man, just keep the hair short. Long hair doesn’t work so well for you Tom.

A member of U.S. Olympic Women’s Soccer team that took the sports world by storm, Laroux is not only a great soccer player, but a stunning woman as well … with a great set assets. Not only are they helping to change the perception of not just women’s soccer, but women’s sports overall, they’re doing it while looking pretty fine. They’re showing that not only can women be awesome athletes, and culture changing, but they can look damn good while doing it. Get down with yo bad selves!

There is a difference between Missing a person for who they are And missing the sake of being with someone; But if I understand this difference, Why do I mourn the loss of what we had When it was so short lived? Admittedly, I no longer miss you; I stopped missing you long before. I spent every day thinking of you; Your presence was more than just space And you were more than just a body; You touched me without remotely having to.
You made art by going outside my edges. My knees are weak, Yet I do not beg for you to stay; While you never brought the sun to its knees, I saw what fireworks look like in daylight When I woke up next to you. No, it is not you that I miss; You never really filled that void, But it is not the blissful emptiness Of being with someone that I pine for; It is the anticipation of fingertips, The blind waiting that was being with you.
If I just wanted to be with someone, Alcohol would’ve trespassed my system Before I took what I needed from the hands Of a stranger in the dark, But I memorized your fingertips As I got drunk off your cologne. Now I know it’s long gone, But my head hurts from time to time. If what we had wasn’t love, It was love’s potent gateway drug; I hallucinated something deeper And I’m still going through withdrawal. If I missed being with someone so much, I would spend my nights Ripping the pages from just anyone; I would never write poetry; Your hands spoke of poetry I could never write, Yet I still try to put a metaphor to you. I only saw the tip of the iceberg, But you drew me closer Until I was completely consumed by you. Your fingers created tsunamis on my skin; You had me floating on the surface of a sensual sea, But at any given moment you could sink me. If I was reminiscing a body to hold, I would only remember a silhouette; But you would draw such hard lines, Then cross them yourself. You made music out of pulling my heart strings;

Let’s Talk about Repro rights VVanessa Butera | Arts Editor

abortion do not eliminate all abortions. In fact, it increases the risk of illegal and unsafe, abortions. According to the World Health Organization, more than 45 million abortions take place per year, legally and illegally. Without access to safe and legal abortions, approximately 66,500 women die each year from unsafe abortions.
Reproductive health is a part of your overall health! Since the second wave of feminism emerged in the 1960-70s, reproductive rights has been a controversial issue worldwide. It is crucial for a woman to exercise her right to control her body and to choose when she is ready to become a mother. Unfortunately, not everyone is in favour of women having access to abortions or a contraception. There are many rumours and misconceptions about reproductive health, and the false information can be dangerous. I will be dismissing the following rumours regarding sexuality, birth control, and abortion. Women and young people should not wait any longer for their right to choice and education! Rumour: Birth control methods, such as the pill and Plan B, are forms of abortion. Fact: Standard birth control pills and “the morning after” pills work to prevent the sperm from reaching the egg. There is no existing fetus developing that will be terminated by these forms of birth control. The purpose of these forms of contraception are to prevent a pregnancy from forming. Rumour: Access to legal abortion will increase abortion rates. Fact: Rates decrease where abortions are easily accessible. In Africa, where abortion is illegal under majority of circumstances, the abortion rate is 29 per 1,000 women of childbearing age. However, in Western Europe, where abortion is accessible, the rate is 12 per 1,000 women. Strict laws on
Rumour: Access to abortion, as well as common contraceptives, will promote women to be more promiscuous and unhealthy. Fact: This patriarchal myth has been used by religious and political anti-choice activists to control women’s access to abortions. However, this outdated idea has no solid proof and is not rooted out of concern for the well-being of women or young people. Anti-choice activists and abstinence-only educators have included this false information on their syllabus with the intention to scare young people, particularly women, out of having sex. This stigmatism also works to control women’s sexuality in a way that only shames any premarital sex without the purpose of procreation. In reality, access to family planning and proper sexual education will protect young people from unwanted pregnancies and STIs. Rumour: Having an abortion will cause women to experience depression and other emotional or psychological harm. Fact: Myths that a woman will experience remorse, regret, or trauma after choosing to terminate her pregnancy have been used to scare women out of having abortions, especially in the third trimester. However, PLOS Online conducted a study on the emotional state of women wanting abortions between 2008 - 2010. The study follows the women’s emotional wellbeing over the course of three years after terminating their pregnancies. The results found that over 99% of women reported that abortion was the right decision, and that over time, experiences of emotional intensity decreased.
