The Mackle family have been creating high-quality pet food in County Armagh, Northern Ireland for over 50 years. Naturo Natural Pet Food is a part of the family business, Mackle Petfoods.

Naturo is a 100% natural dog and cat food, offering complete wet dog food, dry dog food and wet cat food.

Our dogs and cats are not just pets, they are four-legged family members. Naturo was created in 2010 after Mackle Petfoods recognised the need for a natural dog and cat food, that used high-quality ingredients and was accessible to all pet parents who wanted to provide a healthy diet for their dogs and cats.

It is something we take into consideration from farm to bowl, every step of the way. We are committed to sourcing ingredients locally, where possible, to ensure full traceability back to the farms of our reputable suppliers, reducing the energy consumption by transportation, and supporting the local community and local businesses.

OUR MANUFACTURING

Along with appointing a new sustainability manager, we are making huge strides towards reducing the environmental impact of our manufacturing. We currently recycle water used throughout our manufacturing processes and are in the midst of switching our electricity to a renewable alternative We are continually seeking new ways to both reduce our resource use and also reduce waste in our operations.

OUR PACKAGING

We aim to limit the use of excess packaging. We realise that as much as we have achieved so far, we always want to do more. We aim and commit to further reduce our resource use and reduce all wastes.

We’re really proud of our packaging, but we know there’s more we can do. Over the next year, we’ll find new ways to improve our environmental impact to ensure we do everything we can to protect the planet in which you and your pets live.
