Dear BOOKSELLER As we bid farewell to 2023 with the last issue of the Macnews, we reflect on a remarkable year marking Macmillan’s 180th anniversary as a global educational publisher. Our journey has been filled with milestones, and we’re thrilled to share some highlights with you.

One of the standout initiatives of our 180-year celebration was the transformation of the Shine by Hope Day Centre & Preschool in Kathlehong. Witness the incredible changes to the centre on Pg.3 We’re excited to announce the upcoming release of our Coding & Robotics Foundation Phase books, set to hit the market in February 2024. Macmillan CARES A Ray of Hope for Shine By Hope Day Centre and Pre-School In the heart of Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, the Shine By Hope Day Centre and Pre-School stands as a beacon of care for both children and senior citizens. Founded by the dedicated Portia Diboke, a proud local and mother of four, this centre plays a vital role in the community.

Macmillan recently contributed to the uplifting narrative of Shine By Hope through its 180 Days of Giving Initiative. The initiative included a much-needed renovation to the centre’s infrastructure, breathing new life into the building. This not only enhances the physical environment but also sends a powerful message of support and investment in the wellbeing of the community.

Macmillan Order deliveries and Stock Count - 2023 Dear Valued Customer, Please be advised that Macmillan will be conducting their year end stock count from 18-22 December 2023.

Warehouses will thereafter be closed until 1 January 2024. All current orders that are received on or before 14 December 2023 will be invoiced (subject to stock availability) and despatched for delivery this year (if applicable).

Our warehouses will resume operations from 2 January 2024 and all deliveries that cannot be fulfilled this year will be re-scheduled in the new year accordingly.
