A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission biologist bands a burrowing owl at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, March 14. The owl was released at MacDill after rehabilitation and was banded for tracking and identification purposes. The airfield at MacDill is home to one of the only known colonies of burrowing owls in the Tampa Bay area and is an ideal location for releasing rehabilitated owls.
