MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
2025 was a year of growth, achievement, and community connection for the Macarthur Football Association, marked by record participation, new competitions, and continued progress in player development and facility improvement.
As we conclude another successful year at the Macarthur Football Association, I am proud to reflect on the many milestones that continue to strengthen our game and our community. Our Association’s collective achievements are a testament to the dedication of our clubs, volunteers, players, and partners who make football thrive across the Macarthur region.
This year, MiniRoos participation reached an impressive 7,546 players, demonstrating the continued growth and appeal of grassroots football in our community. Across all competitions, player engagement remains strong, and we continue to build an inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to play, develop, and belong.
Our Wests Group Macarthur M League competition flourished with 10 teams across the Men’s, Women’s, and Colts divisions. The GIOCA MSAP League provided a valuable platform for player development.
The introduction of our Deploy Macarthur Youth League (MYL) has been another key highlight, delivering a high-quality Division 1 competition for our local players. Congratulations to Eschol Park U15s, who proudly represented our Association as runners-up in the Champion of Champions tournament.
Our TDP program also achieved outstanding success, with a record number of players selected into NPL programs, a reflection of the quality coaching and development pathways that continue to strengthen within MFA.
This year saw the completion of the Lynwood Park resurfacing works, ensuring a first-class facility for our competitions and representative programs. We also launched the West Group Macarthur Cup Series, providing free access to football programs and advancing our goal of making football accessible for all.
We celebrated several important club milestones, including the 50th anniversaries of Appin United FC, Campbelltown Uniting Church SC, and Narellan Rangers SC, remarkable achievements that speak to decades of community spirit and dedication.
As we close the final year of our five-year Strategic Plan, we reflect proudly on the progress made and look forward to the next phase of growth and innovation for football in the Macarthur region. Our vision remains focused on sustainable development, inclusive participation, and high-quality football experiences for all.
We are fortunate to have the continued support of our community partners. A special thank you to our three Mayors, Outgoing Mayor Ashleigh Cagney and Incoming Mayor Therese Fedeli (Camden), Darcy Lound (Campbelltown), and Matt Gould (Wollondilly), along with councillors and council staff, for their collaboration and support of our 26 clubs.
Our sincere appreciation also goes to West Group Macarthur for their ongoing partnership and efforts in making football more accessible to all, and to our valued sponsors, GIOCA, Deploy, and WT Sports and Recognition, for their commitment to our competitions and programs.
I would like to personally thank the MFA Board of Directors for their unwavering support of our Strategic Plan and vision in 2025. It has been an honour working alongside you to implement meaningful change within our association through your tireless dedication and leadership.
Finally, to my incredible MFA team in the office — your commitment, professionalism, and passion for football have made 2025 another successful year. Your efforts ensure that our association continues to grow stronger and deliver outstanding outcomes for our football community.
As we look to the year ahead, we do so with optimism, pride, and a shared commitment to providing the best possible football experiences for our players, coaches, referees, and clubs.

The 2025 season was another record-breaking year for the Macarthur Football Association, with total player registrations rising to 12,911, a 3% increase driven by strong MiniRoos growth and record female participation. Team and competition numbers also reached all-time highs, reflecting the continued expansion of football across the region. Despite challenges with new registration systems and wet-weather interruptions, the season highlighted the resilience and passion of our clubs, volunteers, and football community.
RECORD BREAKING YEAR (AGAIN)
Football participation in the Macarthur District experienced steady growth in 2025, marking another successful year in player engagement.
Notably, the MiniRoos age groups demonstrated strong growth, effectively balancing the decline observed in All-Age registrations.
Player Numbers
Commensurate with 2024 results, but significant growth in younger age groups. A total of 12,911 players registered to play football in 2025. This represented growth of 398 players or 3% on the 2024 registrations.
Underpinning this growth was the 9% increase in MiniRoos numbers (to 6,723 – record result). Junior registrations were in line with last year at 3,153 (0.2% increase).
Senior numbers continued the slide in numbers that were witnessed last season, falling 8% to 3,035 players. In looking to dissect a reason for the decline, we do believe that the introduction of the upfront payment requirement in the new Play Football registration program had some bearing, as we received a lot of negative feedback upon its release. Cost of living pressures would have also had an impact as the nation deals with significant increases in housing, food, and utilities, impacting household budgets across the country.
Despite the decrease, the 2025 All Age numbers are only 6 players short of the 10-year average of 3,041, and we envisage a stabilisation of these numbers in the short-term, with long-term growth anticipated as both the economy improves, coupled with the ever-increasing population growth within our three Local government areas.
Female Participation: Further Growth
Female participation continued its upward trajectory in 2025, surpassing the previous year’s figures total of 2,646 by 242 participants, resulting in total numbers of 2,888 (+242 or 8%). This figure represents the highest actual number of female participants within the MFA.
As per the theme seen in overall player registrations, the significant growth in MiniRoos numbers (+505 or 28%) clearly offset the reduction of numbers witnessed in both the Junior and Senior categories:
Females now represent 24% of total registrations, up from 21% in 2024.
Team Numbers: Record Numbers
As expected with the increase seen in player numbers, team numbers grew to a total of 1,077 (+ 64 or + 6%) – the highest number of teams ever in any one MFA season.
For information, team numbers have increased by a staggering 25% over the last 10 years.
Competitions: Continues to Grow
There were 123 competitions provided in 2025 – another year-on-year record.
Total matches provided were 9,739
The Season Challenges and Highlights
The 2025 season commenced with several operational challenges following the introduction of the new Play Football Registration system.
The system experienced several issues, making the registration process for playing football more complicated than intended for members.
These issues were compounded by the lack of player data transferring across to the Squadi platform (our competition system), which made life very challenging for the Club registrars to build their teams ahead of the season commencement.
These challenges were significantly magnified at the Association level, creating challenges with the grading process and draw creation, to name just two, whilst at the same time addressing a high volume of member inquiries, which underscored the need for improved system integration and support.
Whilst certain enhancements were made in the system during the year, we can only hope that all issues will have been ironed out before the 2026 registration window opens.
There were the usual wet-weather interruptions; however, we were able to utilise the June long weekend for the early washed-out round, but disappointingly wet weather returned in the final two weeks of competition, resulting in the loss of one full round of football, plus the forfeiture of the 2025 Mini Gala Days.
All other wet-weather-affected matches were rescheduled throughout the year.
2025 saw the introduction of the MYL (Macarthur Youth League) Division 1 competitions and the inaugural year of these competitions proved to be successful. The introduction of these competitions saw the cessation of the Super League concept and allowed the MFA to offer its own standalone Division 1 competitions. Based on the feedback, we are expecting growth in team nominations within the MYL competitions moving forward.
The MSAP competitions were enhanced bringing in the U10 Girls MSAP competition.
The MSAP participation was significantly high, catering for 63 teams across the 5 competitions. There will be changes occurring to MSAP in 2026 which will include the introduction of an U12 MSAP competition following the move from being competition based to small-sided matches which aligns us with the Football NSW development strategies that have been in place for several years now.
The MFA introduced a new Grand Final scheduling concept in 2025 whereby all Junior teams, regardless of division, were provided with Grand Finals on both Lynwood Stadium and Nott Oval.
Feedback regarding this initiative was overwhelmingly positive and we will see this concept continue for the 2026 Grand Finals.
Speaking of the Grand Finals, we would like to thank all teams for making the events highly successful and we would also like to acknowledge the tremendous support received from both the Narellan Rangers for hosting at Nott Oval and Campbelltown Uniting Church for hosting at Lynwood,
Continuing with our thanks, a big thank you is extended to our hardworking volunteers (Board and staff), who assisted at each of the Grand Final venues over both weekends.
M-League
The M-League competitions again proved very competitive, but ultimately the season really belonged to the Narellan Rangers Club who secured the very first “clean-sweep” in the Men's Championship games, running out victors in the M-League 1sts, M-League Reserves and M-League Colts and finishing runner-up in the Women's M-League – a significant achievement that may be hard to emulate in the years to come.
Grade
Colts Narellan Rangers SC Narellan Rangers SC Oran Park Rovers FC their dedication to delivering a high-quality experience at each venue was sincerely appreciated.
Men Reserve Grade Oran Park Rovers FC Narellan Rangers SC Mt Annan FC
New Clubs Hit the Ground Running
This year two new Clubs joined the MFA, Wilton Warriors and FC Bardia.
Both Clubs performed exceptionally well for first-year Clubs with FC Bardia securing the U13 Boys Div 4 Premiership, and the All-Age Men's Div 10 Championship.
Wilton Warriors won the Premiership and Championship in the Over 35/5 Maroon competition and secured Championships in the Under 13 Girls Div 2 and the All-Aged Men 7 competitions.
Thank You
In closing, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Board of the MFA, the MFA General Manager, and the entire MFA staff for their dedication and support during 2025.
I take this opportunity to also pass on my thanks to all the MFA member clubs and their volunteers within each club for their support, understanding, and commitment to the MFA and the game of football. The continued success of our competitions is a direct result of the unwavering commitment and contributions of these individuals.
The 2025 season marked significant growth in coach and player development across Macarthur, with new programs like the Talent Development Program and Girls Association Program complementing established pathways such as the ADP and Rams Academy. Expanded coach education, new resources, and strong participation reflected a thriving football community focused on continuous improvement and preparing for even greater success in 2026.
In what has been a year of transition and evolution, the strategic focus of Coach and Player Development has been continued and added to with the previously laid foundations of ongoing growth across the Macarthur region. With refinements on previously established programs, as well as the introduction of several exciting new initiatives, it has been a great year of growth and development across all levels of the game. Looking ahead to 2026, it promises to be another positive year with the further establishment and execution of a number of initiatives, and the participation levels, and the quality of football in Macarthur only expected to grow even further.
Coach Development
Coach Education Courses and Workshops
This year continued the progressive introduction of the new Football Australia Coaching Pathway, primarily inclusive of community coaching course options, the Foundation of Football (FOF) and the MiniRoos Certificate. Across 2025 so far, we have delivered 7 Foundation of Football courses, 6 MiniRoos Certificate courses as well as a further 6 Game Leader (Junior Referee) courses. In the advanced pathway, we delivered one C Diploma in early 2025 and we have a further two (and potentially three) planned to be delivered over the 2025/26 Coach Education season. The 2025 course delivery was supported with the delivery of 3 Continued Professional Development (CPD) workshops - 2 Grassroots CPD workshops and 1 Advanced CPD workshop.
The above work was delivered primarily by MFA Community Coach Development Officer, Rod Henderson. His passion and ongoing contribution to community coach development ensured the highest quality of delivery and education for our coaches in the Macarthur region. He continually went above and beyond to ensure that coaches were supported not only on the course, but with follow-ups in their own environments.
In 2026, we will add to our catalogue of courses/ workshops with specific offerings designed to better support coaches working in the Macarthur SAP League (MSAP: U8-U12) and Macarthur Youth League (MYL: U13-U18) age groups. Additionally, with a suite of workshops available for delivery, the number of courses/ workshops delivered promises to grow even further in both the grassroots and advanced coaching spaces.
MFA Coaching Spotlight
Across the course of the 2025 season, we conducted our “MFA Coaching Spotlight” which was designed as a series to highlight a range of coaches who work in the youth development space (anywhere from MiniRoos to Youth football). This took the form of a series of articles that were posted on our social media and website that highlighted the work of coaches in club environments to both promote grassroots coaches and the work they are doing, as well as to create female coaching role models. In 2025, we were able to complete visits with 16 Macarthur clubs who nominated 1 female and 1 male coach to highlight within their club. We were proud to share the
various stories of our MFA coaching community and will look forward to continuing this feature in 2026.
MFA Coaches Resources Hub
Throughout the 2025 season, we were able to progressively develop the MFA Coaches Resource Hub with dedicated resources provided to support coaches working with players of all age groups. This was inclusive of coaching guides, example session plans and a “create your own session” resource with a full library of activities available for coaches to access for delivering MiniRoos (U5U12), MSAP (U8-U12) and 11v11 Football (U13+) age group sessions. The resource also included some Goalkeeping resources.
This again will be further added to in 2026 with the addition of further dedicated resources to specifically support our MSAP and MYL league/ competition coaches.
Player Development
In 2025, our player development programs have been able to reach a total of 762 players. This is inclusive of our newly introduced Macarthur Talent Development Program (TDP) and our Girls Association Program (GAP), as well our established Association Development Program (ADP) and Macarthur Rams Academy. This in addition to our exciting West Group Macarthur Cup and Gala Day Series which involved 120+ teams and 900+ participants across the two weeks.
Macarthur Talent Development Program
2025 saw the introduction of our Macarthur Talent Development Program (TDP) which was designed as a specific program to bridge the gap between grassroots football and representative football. By providing a high-performance environment for the best players of grassroots football, the TDP has served as additional high-quality training and games for club-based players. The TDP has therefore become an individual player development focused program to strengthen club football, and as a talent identification process to strengthen player pathways and representative football in the region. The program includes approximately 160 players across the 9 development squads offered. Excitingly, our first term – delivered in Term 3 2025 – has already seen the progression of 43 players into various representative football opportunities, inclusive of Junior Development Leagues (JDL), Girls Junior Development League (GJDL) and National Premier League (NPL) Youth pathway clubs. Many of these players progressed directly through the TDP with games played against local representative clubs, Macarthur Rams and Camden Tigers, becoming talent identification opportunities for the clubs. Now entering into its second term – Term 4 2025 – we are excited for the continued development of the program and further progression opportunities available for the best players within our grassroots football leagues and competitions
Association Development Program (ADP) and Macarthur Rams Academy
Sitting at the base of our player development pathway, the Association Development Program (ADP) has continued to play its role as the community player development offering with programs delivered across all three Macarthur regions – Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly. This has been supported with the elite training offering, the Macarthur Rams Academy, which has been delivered alongside our ADP for much of 2025 in a move designed to support a greater alignment of our player pathways. We have had a number of player pathway success stories to share. The most prominent example being of two girls from Camden Tigers, Ava Wall and Ayla Galea. Throughout 2025, they progressed from our ADP in Term 1, to Rams Academy in Term 2, and into our TDP in Term 3. Since, Ayla has gone on to achieve selection for Macarthur Rams GJDL and Western Sydney Wanderers Development Squads, and Ava has been selected into Camden Tigers GJDL squads for 2026. There are several more stories of similar success.
Girls Association Program (GAP)
As a new initiative for Term 4 2025, the Girls Association Program (GAP) is specifically designed to encourage more young girls to be involved and playing football. The program is particularly aimed at bridging/ closing the "GAP" in female participation and retention rates and removing the barriers to participation for young girls to play football. We have been excited to launch this program and welcome girls of all abilities, current players or new to football, to join with 54 young girls already registered to the program.
This will no doubt continue to grow and build as we look forward to the further expansion and delivery of the GAP initiative across our wider Macarthur region in 2026.
Macarthur SAP (MSAP) League and Macarthur Youth League (MYL) 2025 saw the further growth of our MSAP and MYL competitions with the standard of games and the quality of players raised to another level. A new licencing application system was introduced for MSAP with specific criteria around coaching qualifications, coach and club development strategies, as well as female football development. For 2026, this will be expanded upon further various initiatives, as well as the introduction of a licencing application system also for the MYL. It promises to be another year of growth with better support in coach and player development for our MSAP and MYL.
Macarthur Cup
Our West Group Macarthur Cup and Gala Day Series was delivered in the July school holidays 2025 and involved 120+ teams and 900+ participants across the two weeks. In what was a mixture of competitive football in our Macarthur Cup, and a fun and friendly festival of football in our Macarthur Gala Day Series, it was a great show of football spirit and community here in our Macarthur region. We are very much looking forward to making this an even bigger and better offering in 2026.
Looking ahead to 2026, it promises to be a continuation of the ongoing development and growth of football here in Macarthur with the build on established initiatives as well as the introduction of several new player and coach development offerings. A massive thank you to all the clubs, coaches and volunteers for your work in 2025 and we can’t wait to do it all again in 2026 and help push our game to even higher standards.

The 2025 season further strengthened our focus on individual player development, game understanding, and fostering a positive, professional football culture that aligns with Football Australia’s National Curriculum and Core Skills Framework.
Key Highlights
Technical and Tactical Growth: Players demonstrated noticeable improvement across all core skill areas. Striking the ball, first touch, running with the ball, and 1v1 moments. Training cycles focused on decision-making, positional play, and small-sided game application.
Coach Development: The coaching group engaged in ongoing mentoring sessions, video analysis workshops, and shared session planning, ensuring alignment across all age groups.
Player Identification and Progression: Several MFA JDL players progressed into NPL environments, reflecting the strength of the program as a genuine feeder pathway.
Competition and Engagement: MFA JDL squads participated in high-quality match fixtures against strong clubs, providing players with challenging, enjoyable football experiences that replicated elite game demands.
Culture and Standards: The emphasis remained on developing the person before the player. The program instilled values of accountability, teamwork, and resilience, core traits that underpin longterm success in football and life.
2026 Focus Areas
Further alignment with Rams JDL & Youth programs to create a unified player pathway. Introduce an earlier retention process to provide players and families with clarity while ensuring talented players remain within the Macarthur pathway. Refine the trial process by offering more available dates, regulating the number of trialists, and ensuring larger field spacing to create a smoother and more organised experience for players and coaches.
Continued investment in coach education and mentoring.
Enhanced player monitoring through structured feedback and individual development plans. Expanding partnerships with local clubs and schools to widen our player catchment.
A special thank you to our coaching staff, parents, and MFA leadership for their continued support. The collective effort of everyone involved ensures that the JDL program continues to thrive as a benchmark for youth development in the region.
AYL
The 2025 season marked the final year of the Association Youth League (AYL) program under the Macarthur Football Association. The conclusion of the program closed a significant chapter in the association’s player development structure, which has played a vital role in identifying and nurturing young football talent across the region.
Throughout the final season, the program continued to uphold the high standards that have defined its success in recent years. The focus remained on developing technically proficient, tactically intelligent, and resilient players within a professional and supportive environment.
On the field, teams across all age groups delivered strong performances and demonstrated consistent improvement. The Under 14s narrowly missed finals qualification on goal difference, while both the Under 15s and Under 16s finished fifth, just outside the top four. The Under 18s progressed to the finals series, defeating the minor premiers Western FC in the semi-final before narrowly missing out on the Championship in a penalty shootout against Manly.
While results were impressive, the program’s greatest achievement was the continued progression of players to higher levels of football. Fourteen players from the U13–U15 squads advanced into National Premier Leagues (NPL) clubs during the season, highlighting the program’s effectiveness in preparing athletes for elite competition. This outcome reflects the program’s strong emphasis on technical development, discipline, and performance standards that have long defined the AYL framework.
The dedication and professionalism of the coaching staff throughout the season were central to maintaining the program’s success and ensuring a positive conclusion to its legacy within Macarthur Football Association. Their collective commitment created an environment that prioritised learning, growth, and long-term player development.
As the AYL era concludes, its legacy remains one of excellence, opportunity, and achievement. The program has contributed significantly to the football landscape in the Macarthur region, providing a strong foundation for future development initiatives that will continue to support talented young players in their progression through the game.

The year 2025 was a challenging yet successful year for all our programs.
Our mixed JDL program was very successful on the park, outplaying some of the best clubs in the FNSW junior development league. The development pathway for our best local young talent continued with 16 players being retained in our U13s for the 2026 season.
Our Girls JDL program continues to grow from strength to strength, with all teams competing against some of the best clubs in NSW. We had one of our U13 Girls selected into the Western Sydney Wanderers A-League club and all other players retained into our U14s youth league squad for the 2026 season.
Our Mixed Youth League 13-18’s were again dominant in 2025, finishing 3rd in the club championship, only 4 points from being promoted.
This program continues to be one of NSW's best youth programs, with its success in creating players for A League clubs. This year, we saw 6 players selected for Sydney FC, Western Sydney Wanderers and our very own local Macarthur FC. Some of these players were also selected for NSW teams for the Australian Championships at Coffs Harbour. Our retention and stability of our coaching staff will see this program continue to develop the best local talent.
Our Girls Youth League 14-18’s improved again from 2024, where we saw our best young players given opportunities to develop by playing up into older age groups. This program has seen a big improvement over the last 2 seasons with a shifted focus on player development rather than results. The results are evident with 4 U16 players making 1st Grade debuts in the 2025 season.
Our Senior Men had a disappointing year with a very slow start to the season, but with some changes mid-season, they were able to gather momentum and finish the 2nd half of the season strong. We did however, showcase some of our best young talent with two 16 year olds making 1st Grade debuts. We look forward to 2026 with a newly appointed coach who can prepare our team for a successful season.
Our Senior women’s program had a challenging year on the park in results, with lots of injuries early on in the season. They did, however, recover very well and finish off strong. Our changed focus in this space paid dividends with 12 girls called up into national teams (Junior and Young Matildas), more than any other NPL club in Australia, showing that our development focus on the best young players is working. With this in mind, we look to 2026 for better results alongside development, our coaching stability should see us have a successful 2026 season.
I would like to thank our 2025 Macarthur Rams Board for all your efforts in making the season a success. We look forward to building on what we achieved this season and are excited about what the 2026 season will bring.
CAMDEN TIGERS FC NPL
The 2025 season marked a standout year for Camden Tigers FC, defined by success, progression, and continued investment in player development. Competing across multiple NPL divisions, the Tigers demonstrated both consistency and competitiveness, culminating in several championship titles and a well-earned promotion for the Boys Youth League program.
Boys Youth League (BYL)
Camden Tigers FC’s Boys Youth League enjoyed an exceptional campaign, finishing first in the Club Championship and securing promotion to League Two for the 2026 season. This remarkable outcome is a testament to the collective effort of the club’s coaching staff, players, and support network who have built a strong, development-driven environment over recent seasons.
Each age group contributed meaningfully to this achievement, with multiple teams earning championship honours and finals appearances:
Under 13s (BYL Champions)
The U13s displayed tremendous skill and composure throughout the season, finishing with silverware to cap off their debut year in the youth league. Their championship run showcased a balance of attacking flair and disciplined defence, setting a strong foundation for future success.
Under 14s (Undefeated Premiers and Runners-Up Champions)
One of the most dominant sides in their competition, the U14s completed the regular season undefeated, a rare and impressive feat. Their consistency and teamwork saw them crowned Premiers, while narrowly missing out on the championship title in a hard-fought final.
Under 15s (BYL Champions)
The U15s proved to be one of the club’s most determined teams, battling through tight contests to ultimately emerge as champions. Their resilience and cohesion were key factors in securing another piece of silverware for the club.
Under 16s – Semi-Finalists
The U16s reached the semi-finals after a strong regular season, demonstrating maturity and tactical awareness. Despite falling short of the final, their campaign was a clear sign of the club’s growing depth and competitiveness across all age groups.
The combined results of these teams propelled Camden Tigers FC to the top of the BYL Club Championship, marking the club’s most successful youth season to date. This success also confirms the club’s promotion to NPL League Two for 2026, a major milestone that highlights the program’s sustained growth and quality.
Girls Youth League (GYL)
The Girls Youth League program continued its development in 2025, finishing 13th in the Club Championship. While results varied across age groups, the season provided valuable experience for many players transitioning into competitive NPL football. The focus remained on building strong technical foundations, teamwork, and confidence within a supportive learning environment. The club’s commitment to fostering female participation continues to grow, with increased player numbers and pathway opportunities anticipated in 2026.
Senior Programs
Camden Tigers FC’s senior teams faced a challenging but constructive season as both squads continued to compete in highly competitive NPL environments.
Men’s First Grade (14th in the league)
The Men’s squad showed determination and improvement throughout the season despite mixed results. A series of narrow defeats against higher-ranked sides reflected a team on the verge of turning performances into consistent results. The club remains confident that the experience gained in 2025 will translate into stronger outcomes next year.
Women’s First Grade – 13th in the league
The Women’s First Grade team worked tirelessly to consolidate its position within the competition. The season provided opportunities for emerging youth players to gain senior experience, supporting the club’s broader strategy of developing homegrown talent and building squad depth for future campaigns.
The momentum from 2025 sets the stage for an exciting year ahead. In 2026, Camden Tigers FC will take part in the Mixed Junior Development League (MJDL) and Girls Junior Development League (GJDL) programs, introduced under a Football NSW licence to align the club with the state’s recognised development structure. These programs will see Camden Tigers compete against other Association JDL and NPL JDL teams from across New South Wales, representing an important step forward in strengthening the club’s pathway and expanding opportunities for youth across the Macarthur region.
The club’s achievements this season, particularly in the Boys Youth League, reflect years of dedicated work behind the scenes from coaches, volunteers, and administrators. Camden Tigers FC continues to represent the spirit of grassroots development meeting high-performance ambition, and 2025 will be remembered as a pivotal chapter in the club’s NPL journey.

Eagles SC
Another fun and exciting season at Eagles. On the field we had 6 Premier teams (4 Juniors, 2 Seniors), 11 teams competing in the finals, 6 taking out the Championship in their relevant Age Groups/Divisions.
Overall, player numbers remained the same as last year. Our minis all had a fantastic year, some scoring their first goal, others continuing their success from previous years. Junior and Senior teams represented Eagles proudly showing their sportsmanship and comradeship throughout the season. It is a pleasure to watch all players playing the game we all love.
With wet weather hanging around we were still able to hold the first 3 x 3 Girls/Ladies and 3 x 3 Boys competition which was a huge success and enjoyed by all whom participated. Next year should be bigger and better.
On a sadder note, after 10 years as Canteen Manager, Christine (Cahill) passed away due to medical complications. She will be missed.
Thank you, MFA for the countless hours you put in every season to ensure we have a season to remember and enjoy. To all MFA clubs congratulations on your achievements this year.
Eagles are excited to be bringing new and exciting ideas to Season 2026 and are waiting anxiously for the season to begin.

through the MFA’s inaugural Talent Development Program (TDP) for their outstanding efforts.
Off the field, our committee numbers again increased, reflecting the club’s ongoing commitment to improvement. This also sees the club steadily progressing towards a Football Australia Two Star accreditation.
2025 has been a remarkable year for the Mustangs, and we look forward to celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2026 with exciting plans ahead.

2025 has been another record year for the club on and off the field, with the Club fielding 111 teams across all age groups and competitions with over 1,300 players. Off the field, the club celebrated its 50 season and hosted a gala dinner in June to celebrate the milestone which was attended by 200 guests.

On the field more records were broken, with the Men’s MLeague 1 Grade team becoming the first team in M-League history to be crowned ‘Undefeated Premiers & Champions’. (Played 20, won 20, 0 draws & 0 losses). Adding to the success for 1 Grade, Reserve grade were crowned Champions and Colts were crowned ‘Premiers & Champions’. The Women’s M-League team made the grand final and just fell short of winning it, so it was a great season all round for the clubs M-League program.

12’s MYL being runners up. Female participation continues to grow with 13 SSG, 5 junior & 3 senior all girls teams in the club.
Across our competitive teams, we had 3 teams Crowned ‘Premiers’, with 28 making it to the semifinals, 16 progressing to the Grand Final, and 7 being crowned ‘Champions’, so overall it was a successful year.
A huge thank you goes out to all our sponsors who support the club, as well as the hard-working committee that volunteers their time to run this very large and successful family-friendly club.
In 2025, we appointed a Technical Director to oversee both our M-SAP & MYL programs, the MSAP program has gone from strength to strength and all teams were very successful on and off the field. We had improvement in our MYL program, with our 16’s MYL being crowned Champions and our

We are thrilled to announce that Oran Park Rovers has had an outstanding season! The return of our M League Men's Team for the 2025 season has invigorated our club, and we are proud to declare that our Reserve Grade team has been crowned Minor Premiers. Additionally, we had an impressive performance with 10 teams advancing to the Grand Finals.
Our commitment to celebrating Female Football Week remains strong, highlighting the significant number of female players within our club. This year, we fielded 4 MSAP Teams, 9 MYL boy's teams and 3 MYL girl's teams, with 10 teams reaching the semi-finals. Notably, our two U14 squads progressed to the Champions of Champions competition.
With over 1,300 players registered, we are well-positioned to compete with the best teams in the district. We have also enjoyed large crowds supporting our M League matches on Saturday nights, which greatly enhances the atmosphere and camaraderie within our community. Our engagement with the local community has been a vital part of our success, and we encourage everyone to show respect and good sportsmanship
to other clubs while proudly wearing our Black and White jerseys.
In addition, we are investing in coaching courses to ensure our coaches receive exceptional training. This will enhance our overall performance as the knowledge gained is shared with their squads.
Next season, under the guidance of our Technical Director, the club looks forward to achieving even greater success on the field, with everyone united in their passion for Oran Park Rovers. Thank you for your continued support, and let’s keep the momentum going!
Picton Rangers Football Club had a strong and positive season in 2025, reflecting both growth and stability across all levels.
We fielded a total of 41 teams this with female participation at around 25%.
Picton Rangers looks to continue our growth in MYL and MSAP leagues to strengthen our player development and offering a high quality pathway for junior progression.
A major highlight this year was the completion and handover of Picton Sportsground (Fairleys) in time for the 2025 season. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the facility fully utilised; the new facilities include a larger canteen, dedicated referee rooms and dedicated female and male change rooms.
There are 2 new full sized fields that are nearly complete and on track to be in use for the 2026 season. Looking ahead, the next priority projects for the committee should include fencing the main field and installing quality dugouts.
Ruse FC
Ruse Football Club proudly celebrated two of its long-serving members in 2025, Jimmy Young and Anne Williamson, each recognised for an incredible 40 years of service. Their dedication and passion have been the backbone of our club’s community spirit and success.
This year also marked significant progress in club infrastructure and support. Through successful grant applications, we secured funding for new fridges in the canteen, a utility ATV to assist with equipment transport, and a volunteer grant to support our invaluable team of helpers.
A major milestone was the completion of drainage works on Jackson 1 field, ensuring it will be ready for use in the 2026 season. This upgrade will greatly enhance playing conditions and support future growth.
We extend our sincere thanks to both State and Federal Members for their assistance in securing these grants, and to Campbelltown City Council for their contribution to the
drainage works. Their support continues to strengthen our club and the wider football community.

2025 at Saints was a one of the biggest we’d had yet. Start with our big return to all 4 grades of the M-League. We’re extremely proud of our teams who didn’t just join the competition but made big impact, with our First Grade and Colts making the semifinals, and our Women's making it to the top 16 in the state cup. As well, for the first time in our clubs history we entered the Australia & Sapphire Cup. Being the first season together for most of our M-League teams, we are extremely happy with their success and are excited to grow our elite squads even further in 2026.
Another highlight of the year was our 3rd Annual Amy Harrison Cup in March. The cup has now grown to one of the biggest all female football tournaments in NSW. This years cup was the biggest yet. With 45 teams, 19 different clubs from 9 different associations, at one stage a few thousand players and spectators were at Kooringa enjoying the football. The cup now ranges from U5-U14, Premier League, Division 1-3 and Over 30s. With plans to grow the cup even bigger again in 2026.
Tahmoor SC
On the pitch during the season we had multiple teams make the semi finals and grand finals but our Over 35/2 men took the honours winning their competition undefeated , winning the premiership and grand final.
Overall 2025 was one to remember at Saints, from our community teams, to our MSAP and M-League, we are proud of our unique culture and are excited to see how the club is building back up again. With alot of new faces in the Commitee for next year, multiple new sponsors and a lot of interest around our club, we can’t wait for 2026.

This season the Taipans returned to the snake pit! Having been displaced while awaiting the re-build of our home ground, the Tahmoor district sporting complex, our community eagerly awaited the 2025 season as we could FINALLY get our boots onto the new fields and they did not disappoint! Training nights were packed, spectatorship increased and our canteen thrived! This season has given us some great momentum we hope to capitalise on in the 2026 season!
We had teams make the finals from multiple competitions including two premierships with our U17s going all the way to win the grand final! This season hosted another first for us aside from our opening season at the new facility, we also entered the world of MSAP, a big learning curve for Tahmoor, but a success on the whole.
As we turn our heads toward the 2026 season we welcome new members to our committee and are excited about the prospects of our M league teams with EOIs rolling in! We look forward to some new initiatives for promoting females
in football and hope to work closely with our coaches to build skills and confidence during the 2026 season.
MiniRoos:
The 2025 season marked the inaugural year for Wilton Warriors FC, and what a remarkable beginning it has been. From the ground up, we built a new club and community, proudly becoming the largest MiniRoos club in the Wollondilly Shire in our very first season.
Our competitive teams delivered outstanding results, with 1 team finishing Premiers, three teams reaching their respective Grand Finals – and all three emerging as Champions. A testament to the dedication of our players, coaches, and volunteers who set the tone for future success.
We also launched our first M-SAP program for Under 9s and Under 11s, which proved an incredible success. Notably, four of our Under 11 players were selected for the inaugural Talent Development Program – a fantastic achievement for our first year. Plans are already in motion to expand M-SAP to all eligible age groups in 2026.
Off the field, Wilton Warriors have made community engagement a core focus. We proudly sponsored local school events and hosted free Macarthur Bulls and RAMS clinics, giving local kids an opportunity to develop their skills while connecting with the game.
We also achieved 1-Star Club Changer status and are well on track to secure our second star by December 2025. With a strong foundation, passionate members, and a thriving community behind us, the future for Wilton Warriors FC is incredibly bright.
MACARTHUR DISTRICT FOOTBALL REFEREES ASSOCIAITON
2025 was another highly successful season for the Macarthur District Football Referees Association (MDFRA).
This year, we proudly registered 449 referees across our senior, junior, and Small-Sided Games (SSG) competitions — a continued increase on previous seasons. This growth reflects the strength of our referee community and the collective effort to promote officiating as an essential and respected part of our game.
The ongoing support of the Macarthur Football Association has been instrumental in driving referee recruitment and development initiatives. We are extremely grateful for this collaboration, which plays a vital role in ensuring the sustainability of officiating within our region.
Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, the MDFRA remains focused on strengthening referee retention, education, and development. Recruitment will always be important, but ensuring our referees are supported, confident, and continually improving is key to maintaining high standards across all levels of competition.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all member clubs for their ongoing support of our referees throughout the season. In particular, I commend the encouragement shown towards our junior referees, many of whom are still learning their craft. Your understanding, patience, and collaboration with our referee coaches and club officials make a real difference to their confidence and long-term involvement in the game.
It is vital that we continue to work together to create a positive environment for these young referees, ensuring they feel valued and supported. This collective effort will not only improve the quality of officiating but also help increase match coverage across the district in future seasons.
In 2025, the MDFRA was proud to be recognised by Football NSW for our ongoing commitment to referee development. This recognition was reflected through prestigious appointments to major finals, including the Under 14 Boys State Cup Final and the All Age Men’s Champions of Champions Final, achievements that highlight the high calibre of officials within our ranks.
A particular highlight this year was the selection of Anara Banks, one of our talented young female referees, to the 2026 FNSW Referees Academy, an elite pathway for the state’s most promising match officials. Anara’s success is an outstanding achievement and serves as an inspiration to other young referees, especially female officials, demonstrating that there are clear and exciting pathways for those dedicated to the craft of refereeing.
On behalf of the MDFRA, I extend my heartfelt thanks to all referees, referee coaches, assessors, administrators, and volunteers who make our operations possible week after week. Your dedication ensures the integrity, fairness, and enjoyment of the game for all participants.
We look forward to building on this success in 2026 and continuing to strengthen the referee community across the Macarthur region.
