Macaranga is a an independent journalism portal covering the environment and sustainability in Malaysia. We aim to provide in-depth journalistic features on issues and build knowledge about ecosystems. Run by specialist environmental and science writers, our objective is to be relevant, insightful and accurate and to fill a gap in producing local content for Malaysian and global readers. A key component of our operations is training and mentorship as we aim to increase journalistic capacity and create a groundswell of reporting on environmental, climate and sustainability issues.
