Cuenta con sus propios sembradíos de uva, así como zona de eventos, degustaciones y restaurantes para sus huéspedes y público en general durante todo

PERFECTA IMPERFECCIÓN Alcova by Ronan y Erwan Bouroullec DEFIENDEN LA NATURALEZA EN LA CIUDAD Y LOS TELEVISORES CON PATAS EN LA ÉPOCA DE LAS PANTALLAS EXTRAPLANAS. UNO DE LOS DÚOS FAMILIARES MÁS FAMOSOS DEL DISEÑO, APUESTA AHORA POR EL VIDRIO. Los bodegones del artista italiano Giorgio Morandi –especializado en pinturas simples de naturaleza muerta, jarrones, botellas, flores y cerámicas– fueron la inspiración para la paleta de colores que ilumina el vidrio de la colección Alcova. Objetos con una imperfección única que enamora a simple vista.

Elaborados por manos artesanas mediante un «primitivo» proceso que vierte el vidrio fundido en moldes de madera, Alcova crea un conjunto de paisajes de ensueño, jugando con la luz, dándole vida a cada rincón que ocupan.

El dúo de diseñadores franceses, Ronan y Erwan Bouroullec, colabora en esta ocasión con WonderGlass. But allowing the material to be itself wasn’t easy for the skilled artisans, who are accustomed to be extremely precise in their work, but in this occasion, they sought exactly the opposite: to play with material´s movement so all pieces were slightly different, away from mass production and industrial standards. WonderGlass and the Bouroullec brothers have the ambition to challenge the technical and scale limitations that characterize molten glass through constant research into avant-garde design objects. CASA WABI deTADAO ANDO MIRANDO AL PACÍFICO, ESTE ESPACIO-NIDO PROVOCA LA CALMA NECESARIA PARA LA REFLEXIÓN Y LA CREATIVIDAD. En 2017 llegó a México el arquitecto japonés Tadao Ando, quien ostenta entre otros, el Premio Pitzker de 1995. En Puerto Escondido, rincón aún intocable entre la costa pacífica y las montañas de Sierra Madre del Sur, el arquitecto estableció el proyecto Fundación Casa Wabi, una residencia idílica para artistas de todo el mundo.

La idea original pertenece a Bosco Sodi, quien pidió específicamente la ayuda de Tadao Ando debido a su visión única en arquitectura y diseño. Con la colaboración de otros seis arquitectos reconocidos, la Casa Wabi toma su inspiración del término japonés wabi sabi, un tipo de visión estética basada en la belleza de la imperfección. En este caso, el proyecto se trata de la simbiosis perfecta entre la construcción moderna y los maravillosos paisajes

que le rodean. El resultado nos quita el aliento: una sola pared paralela al mar, quedando el edificio completamente volteado hacia los 550 metros de costa del terreno. A un lado, las montañas enmarcan el horizonte y al otro, el paisaje austero se entremezcla con el edificio de concreto y las enormes palapas de la casa.

El que visite este tesoro retirado, apreciará el estilo minimalista y enfocado en la naturaleza que conduce a un estado de introspección y meditación. Por ello, al incluir lugar para galerías y salas comunes, distintas disciplinas como la arquitectura, las artes plásticas y la comida han encontrado un espacio inigualable en México. Así, Casa Wabi cumple su objetivo al volverse un centro que fomenta el intercambio de ideas y de actividades artísticas, invaluable para nuestro país.

There, he picked Puerto Escondido, an untouched little corner nestled between the pacific coast and the mountains of the Sierra Madre del Sur, to stablish the Casa Wabi Foundation, an idyllic residence for artists from around the world. Originally, Bosco Sodi asked sought out Tadao Ando specifically for his unique vision of architecture and design. Thus, with the collaborations of six more renowned architects, Casa Wabi is inspired by the Japanese term «wabi sabi», a type of aesthetic vision based on the beauty of imperfection. biosis between modern building and the wonderful natural landscapes around it to create something that takes our breath away: a single wall parallel to the sea makes up the building completely turned towards the property´s 550 meters of coast. With the mountains framing the skyline on one side and, on the other, the natural scenery intermingles with the concrete building and the house´s enormous palapas. Anyone visiting this fortress of solitude, anyone will appreciate its minimalistic style and the emphasis in nature that encourage introspection and meditation. Thus, within its galleries and common rooms, artistic disciplines such as architecture, plastic arts and gastronomy have found a haven in Mexico like no other. Casa Wabi fulfills its promise of being a safe place for the arts and the exchange of ideas.

As part of a study on compact and sustainable housing solutions in urban settings, Dutch study DUS Architects printed an eight square meter cabin that seeks to demonstrate how additive manufacturing can solve temporary housing and disaster refuge issues. This cabin was completely 3D-printed out of black sustainable bioplastic that can be

Y no hace falta esperar más. La primera vivienda 3D de hormigón ya está en pie esperando a sus ocupantes. Le seguirán otras cuatro para completar la primera fase del Proyecto Milestone en Eindhoven, Holanda. La ciudad, que ya alberga desde el año pasado el primer puente de hormigón impreso en 3D, pretende servir como ejemplo del potencial en materia de sostenibilidad de las nuevas técnicas de edificación Inquietos arquitectos como el holandés Janjaap Ruijssenaars o Zaha Hadid, llevan años incursionando en sus secretos. Una estructura experimental presentada por este último en una exposición de Milán fue solo una probadita que nos abre los ojos ante la capacidad de imprimir diseños sin límites.

En una investigación sobre soluciones de viviendas compactas y sostenibles en entornos urbanos, el estudio holandés DUS Architects imprimió en 3D una cabina de ocho metros cuadrados que pretende demostrar cómo la fabricación aditiva puede

En el interior, la cabina contiene espacio suficiente para una cama que se convierte en un asiento durante el día. Un gran baño impreso en 3D se ubica fuera, en el jardín, donde es posible disfrutar de su escultórica bañera, también impresa, y ver el atardecer rodeado de álamos.

La complejidad geométrica en la construcción de edificios tiene los días contados. En si mismo, el adjetivo “difícil” va perdiendo fuerza. La arquitectura despliega sus alas cada vez más, hacia su esencia que no es otra que la de crear espacios como manifestación de arte.

La tierra es redonda y no se puede decir donde comienza o termina, por eso con la casa impresa en 3d han intentado diseñar una forma que no tiene un comienzo o un final. Desarrollada por D-Shape, de Italia, su técnica utiliza la tierra que se encuentran in situ donde se construye la estructura, lo cual la integra más aún en el paisaje. La Landscape House es una vivienda inspirada en una cinta o banda de Möbius, que se podría recorrer entera sin fin, subiendo y bajando escaleras y rampas sin llegar nunca a un «final» físico. Una de las lecciones más importantes en la vida es aprender a fallar. Como es bien sabido, sin caer no podemos volver a levantarnos, y aprender en el proceso. David Chang, el cerebro detrás del imperio global de restaurantes Momofuku, aprendió esta lección rápidamente desde el inicio de su carrera, pues cuando se trata de comida uno tiene la impresión de que depende de la opinión exterior para tener éxito.

Desde joven, el cocinero y empresario nacido en Estados Unidos se encontró en un gran conflicto por sus orígenes coreanos.

He returned to the States in 2004 with renewed ambitions and opened the first Momofuku Noodle Bar,
