Spelling Bee
The 98th Annual Mobile County Spelling Bee was held Friday, Feb. 7th, at the Mary G. Montgomery High School Auditorium. 46 elementary and middle school students from public, private, and parochial schools competed in the contest.
Tamara Altaan from Causey Middle School spelled “untenable” to claim the title of this year’s spelling bee. Annalee Towler from Davis Elementary School placed second, and Kyler Johnson from Austin Elementary School placed third. These three contestants made it through 141 words in 10 rounds to win the 2025 Spelling Bee.
