A Note From THE HEAD MONSTER To the Asian American Community

Congratulations to the Asian America Foundation for producing the 32nd Annual Miss Asian Global and Miss Asian America Pageant to provide young Asian American women the opportunity to be recognized for their excellence in beauty, elegance, culture, and talent. Since 1996, Monster Cable has proudly represented the Asian American business community at the pageant. We are delighted to show our support again by providing $5,000 through the Monster Educational Scholarship. At Monster, we encourage education in every way we can. It’s the cornerstone of a strong community, and as we all know, Asian Americans have always considered education to be of primary importance. Hopefully, the Monster Scholarship will further this cause and help Miss Asian Global and Miss Asian America to continue her growth and knowledge. Monsterously,

Noel Lee, The Head Monster

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the 32nd Annual Miss Asian Global Pageant at the majestic Herbst Theatre. Tonight, 22 beautiful and intelligent women from all corners of the world will compete for the distinguished title of Miss Asian Global 2017. Each delegate is representing her Asian heritage and advocating for an issue meaningful to her. After working with the delegates for the past few months, we are truly inspired by their determination to embrace their culture and their courage to reveal their authentic self with one another. We envision our non-profit organization to be more than a pageant, reaching deep into our core values to help Asian American women while archieving future goals towards Community Coalitions, Women Empowerment, and College Alliance. In 2014, we established the Asian America Foundation, and founded Imagine Talks by collaborating with Edge Interns, with guidance from Dr. Francis Kong and led by Elaine Sung and Maggie Schoenholtz. Imagine Talks continues to thrive and expand each year as we encourage women to move and evolve into leadership roles, most notably in technology, arts, business and innovation. We offer our delegates the opportunity to continue their journey with the Asian American Foundation by volunteering to coordinate the 4th Annual Imagine Talks. We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the sponsors, both continuing and new, for their generosity and support. Sponsorships set the foundation for our organization’s growth, and we may personally attest to our steady growth over the 17 years we have been a part of the Miss Asian Global/America family. Thank you so much for enabling us to work towards improving and raising awareness about community involvement, academic achievement, and women’s empowerment.
