The manufacturer, a pioneer in the design, development, engineering and manufacture of micro turbine engine generators, has expanded and relocated its headquarters to the new 61,076 sq ft building.

The new facility off Spartan Close, which will house more than 150 staff, has the potential to make up to 30,000 micro turbine generators a year. The business was founded by Paul and Chris Bladon to adapt its lightweight micro turbines for use in the automotive sector and it has since found demand for its micro turbine generators in the telecoms industry and other challenging applications worldwide.

Works have now commenced on the final phase of the park, which will see four new buildings ranging from 24,000 - 50,000 sq ft. They will achieve an EPC rating of ‘A’ and BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

We’re thrilled that Bladon Micro Turbine has chosen Spa Park for its new headquarters. This letting adds another high-calibre brand to the list of occupiers on the business park.

Final phase of Spa Park approved as work starts on pre-let

Work is progressing on a production plant for a global manufacturer after planners approved the final phase of development at Spa Park, Leamington Spa.

Plastics manufacturing company Berry Global has agreed a pre-let for a single purpose-built unit of 138,675 sq ft at the business park off Tachbrook Road.

The new plant will produce products from household waste recycling collections, including packaging for use in the food and cosmetic industries. When fully operational it will be capable of processing seven tonnes of material per hour and will operate a zero waste policy.

Berry, which has 48,000+ employees worldwide, expects the new Spa Park facility to generate up to 115 new jobs, including mechanical and electrical engineers, technical staff and laboratory engineers.

Benniman Construction was appointed as contractor and completion is expected in July this year. Sustainability is key, with Stoford targeting an EPC rating of ‘A’ and a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’, as well as net zero carbon in construction. The pre-let is part of the final phase of development at Spa Park, which was approved by Warwick District Council. Stoford and BlackRock will speculatively develop four new units comprising a combined 151,650 sq ft of office, R&D, production and distribution accommodation.

We have received tremendous support from the local authority and are looking forward to progressing the final phase of development at Spa Park. Our pre-let with Berry is testament to the success of the overall scheme and we’re excited by the positive impact that this new development will have on the local economy, with new jobs and investment.
