Hello Everyone!
Planning for the 46 Arkansas Scottish Festival is in full swing. th
Last year, we introduced the Clan Village to the festival, and it was such a success that we are bringing it back this year! This year we have a whole lineup of which includes a petting zoo, high tea with the first minister of ScotsFest, children’s fishing derby, and more! Our focus this year is to have an even more family friendly and engaging festival.
We are still in the early planning stages of the festival, and on the search for entertainment for the year.
The festival averages 5,000 attendees onsite with global reach on social media and online. Our ScotsFest Facebook page has 3,800 followers and the college has 13,000 followers. Along with our various other pages, you will be reaching over 20,000 people across social media. We are aiming for even more engagement this year.
Your generosity is the only way that we can make the Arkansas Scottish Festival happen. Your support not only keeps the admission to the event free but also ensures its future success. In this package you will find details on sponsorship levels and benfits for your review.
Thank you for your interest in being a part of this cherished tradition. If you have any questions or need further information, don’t hesitate to reach out to me at (870) 307-7522 or laney.johnson@lyon.edu.
Best regards,
Laney Johnson Events Manager

The Arkansas Scottish Festival (ScotsFest) was established in 1979 on the Arkansas College campus to pay homage to the rich Scottish heritage of the institution's Presbyterian founders. What began as a modest, single-field fair held during homecoming celebrations has since transformed into one of the premier Scottish festivals in the Southern United States.
Now held annually in October, ScotsFest has grown exponentially into a vibrant, three-day cultural celebration. Every year, Lyon College draws thousands of visitors to the region as pipe bands, solo pipers, drummers, dancers, heavy athletics competitors, Celtic performers, and clan representatives travel from all corners of the country to participate.
Today’s festival features a dynamic, multi-day lineup packed with highvisibility attractions, including a main entertainment zone, a diverse fleet of regional food trucks, our historic Clan Village, professional sheepdog demonstrations, an expansive vendor market, and the dedicated Lil’ Highlanders Youth Zone.
As we continue to expand our reach, this year’s festival will feature two major new highlights:
The Lil’ Highlander Tea Party: A special youth event hosted under the entertainment tent by Lyon College President, Dr. Melissa Taverner, inviting young families to dress up and engage in an afternoon of tea and storytelling.
The Bryan Lake Fishing Derby: An exciting community event hosted on campus in partnership with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
By partnering with ScotsFest, our sponsors align their brands with a beloved regional tradition, gaining exceptional exposure to a diverse, enthusiastic, and rapidly growing audience.
