A MESSAGE FROM NAHANT:

Nahant is blessed with historical properties, beautiful beaches, rocky coasts, and scenic vistas. It is an exciting time for our community. We are focusing our efforts on climate change, improving aging infrastructure and the financial health of our government. The next generation of leaders are getting involved in appointed and elected positions to help integrate the modern era of science and technology for posterity. We have an active arts and music scene and a number of recreational groups. Our Council on Aging and our Veteran services are leaders across the Commonwealth within their respective groups.

Our biggest asset is our residents who make up our community groups. Nahant has a long and rich history of being made up of community groups and diverse individuals who share a common ground and strong commitment to our Town. Groups such as SWIM (Safer Water in Massachusetts), “01908”, the Veterans Association, and Council on Aging are just a few of them. The Town of Nahant values its relationship with the Greater Lynn Chamber of Commerce for their support of our community groups.

Although we have a small commercial base, our businesses are growing because of their involvement with the Greater Lynn Chamber of Commerce. Tides Restaurant, Oceanview of Nahant, The Nahant Country Club, Bayside Function Hall, and Jesmond Nursing Home are our major businesses who are Chamber of Commerce members and all are thriving.
