It’s celebration time again for Jamaicans and Trinidadians. Last month marked the 56th anniversary of independence from the United Kingdom for both countries. On August 6, 1962, Jamaica became an independent nation and the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago received its independence on August 31st of that year.
