LWFCI is an organisation renowned for inspiring, motivating and driving young people on the part of destiny and purpose. Using sports as avenue of engaging the future generation, we always come up with programs that entertain, educate and inform the people that hold tomorrow; children and youth. As part of our dynamic culture, Saturday 22 November 2014 was a bash! We had another Football Tournament and Awards Ceremony graced by Cllr Andre Bourne. As usual, the kids were on top of their games. With zest and vigor, they played their hearts out. Truly, in LWFCI, we are raising the future Ronaldos and Messis.

The player of the tournament was Georgie Gaynor, followed by Paul from Catford. The best Goalkeeper was Kieran. LWFCI Sports Club has been delivering sports activities such as Football coaching and matches to young people age 8-16 years from the surrounding areas of Downham, Bromley, Catford, Lee and Lewisham. We equally have another football club in Hackney. On our project is also the delivering of Exercise Dance to young people and young adults in our communities.

The football program has been running since 04th January 2014 in Hackney and was later extended to Catford and Downham. LWFCI‘s Young people age 8-16 play football games twice a week every Saturday in Catford from 2:30pm and 5:00pm Tuesdays in Downham at the Beckenham Place Park, Bromley. In Hackney, the football games and exercise dance take place every Saturday between 11am-1pm
LWFCI Sports Club has been helping to break down barriers in sports and build positive relationships among young people and adults from different cultures and backgrounds. In line with our sports culture, we host football tournaments and awards events to celebrate children and young people's achievements, that is, those that have been participating in our training programs. We currently have 42 registered young people directly benefitting from the funding that was awarded by the Downham assembly fund. These young people are within the ages of 6-16 from the areas of Downham, Bromley, Catford, Grove Park, Lee, Lewisham, Sydenham, and Bellingham. LWFCI Sports Club has gone from strength to strength and is now beginning to establish itself as a quality service. LWFCI Sports Club also has 75 register young people and adults in Hackney who have been attending our Sports and Dance programs. We are truly giving kids the confidence they need to make the most of their potentials.
