AS WEATHER COOLS, COLLEGE FOOTBALL HEATS UP!
While the Las Vegas temperatures don’t feel like it just yet, we are officially into autumn and through our first full month of the 2022 season. The annual twists and turns -- all of which make college football the greatest sport out there -- have seen the Pac-12 Conference rally from a slow start and now suddenly boasting five teams in the Top 25. The SEC, meanwhile, has seven ranked teams this week, including both No. 1 and No. 2. This is all good news for our game, of course, as deep conference partners can only mean more successful teams coming to the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl on December 17. Speaking of the game, tickets are set to go on sale to the public in early November. Make sure you have all of your and your company’s needs met for access to what promises to be a historic matchup at Allegiant Stadium.

LAS VEGAS HISTORY INSPIRES TROPHY DESIGN
Las Vegas is the center of Bling. For more than 30 Years the Las Vegas Bowl has been the place for post-season college football. The trophy is a tribute to what makes Las Vegas... well, Vegas. This trophy will be the one thing that does not stay in Vegas, a reminder of the style, panache, and showmanship that Las Vegas is famous for. Vegas Baby!
The shape of the base is designed as a homage to the Fabulous Las Vegas sign that greets millions of visitors annually. The three golden spires that hold the jeweled ball represent the sports, the entertainment, and the people that have made Las Vegas the sports and entertainment capital of the world. While the gold alone is indicative of Nevada being hailed as the top gold mining state in the U.S. The jeweled ball draws its inspiration from the King’s iconic rhinestone encrusted white jumpsuit during his reign of the Las Vegas Strip. Rubies, sapphires, and gold dramatically accent the white football that reminds us that it is showtime in Las Vegas. And finally, the football that adorns the side of the ball pays tribute to Las Vegas in all its neon glory.
Rossi Ralenkotter, the namesake of the Las Vegas Bowl Trophy, was one of the game’s founding fathers and former president of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).
