UA RISE Health & Wellness Center

The building its an abstraction of a “Green Mountain” implying that the building brings nature into an urban city. The green space in the terrace provides fresh air, and it rehabilitates polluted air into the environment. The “Green Mountain” serves as a spiritual healing experience, bringing people to engage with nature and themselves, understanding that with exercise and nature one can be a healthier person. The UA High Rise site is located in downtown Tucson, in zoning high-rise and in boundary connoting the low-rise residential zone. According to the city’s section line, the building decreases height from east to north, connecting to the residential zone. From west to south the buildings connects to the high rises zone, looking to the downtown skyscrapers. The main entrance of the building faces to the central bus transportation station and the Tucson Amtrak Train station. The entrance form bows into the neighborhood for a welcoming experience. In the terrace of the low-rise part of the building, a swimming pool and a local coffee shop greats the city to a view to the downtown area, experiencing nature. The east wing faces the back of the UA Campus, and the north wing Mount Lemmon. The vegetation in the building produces oxygen which helps improve people’s metabolism during the exercise process. The exercise space in the north side terrace and involves a public stair case where people are meant to exercise.
