Gentleman Private Club as a Lifestyle

here are various private clubs in many major capitals of the world. Due to the invitation of House of Lords, I attended a private event Gentleman Private Club London which was held in London. After that I strongly made decision to organize a similar event in Yerevan as well. Since then, much time has passed and now I am proud to mention that I have managed to organize the 30th meeting of the closed Gentleman Private Club and have collected influential gentlemen from different spheres. It was important to me to organize such event not only as a founder of the magazine of luxury segment but also as a human being having realized the need and importance of this event for our society.

In honor of that Steinway & Sons in collaboration with furniture designer Dakota Jackson released a piano Arabesque. The instrument is made only in 50 pieces. The creation of Arabesque was based on Moorish motifs. From aside it seems as if the instrument is constantly in motion.

n the scope of the bidding of the Christie's auction, which this time was dedicated to impressionism and contemporary art, a picture by Henry Moore "Woman Knitting" was presented. The painting was a part of a private collection.

Sold for $ 5 200 000 at Stair Galleries

he figurine, made by Carl Faberge more than a hundred years ago, was sold at the Stair Galleries auction in New York and set a new record price. This mini-sculpture of Nikolay Nikolayevich Pustynnikov - Cossack who was a loyal personal bodyguard of Russian Tsar Nicholas II's wife Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.

It is known that Faberge made only 50 stone-cutting figures.

he work of art presented at the Sotheby’s auction is considered to be a part of the most famous cycle of the Italian sculptor and painter Marino Marini. It includes works that depict horsemen. Under the lot of the Sotheby's auction house was a statue called "An idea of the knight", cast bronze and created at the ninth attempt. This unique statue is stamped with the initials MM and dated 1955.

he violin, which was used during the inundation of the legendary liner "Titanic", was sold at auction for $1.6 million, according to experts, the record price is unlikely to ever be beaten. The instrument suffered from the sea water and is now out of work. It belonged to the bandmaster Wallace Hartley who became one of the 1.5 million victims of the catastrophe.

His paintings were almost three-dimensional. The painting Bianco-Rosso ("White-Red") is signed and dated 1954 on the stretcher; numbered 813 on the reverse. Oil, stones, sand and glue were appllied on the canvas.

ernand Leger is a French expressionist-painter. Together with Braque and Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, Leger played an important role in the formation and propagation of Cubism. The painting "Element Mechanique", which became a part of the lots presented at the Sotheby's auction was utterly appreciated.

The painting was created with oil paints and is dated 1920.

nouki Areshidze is a former model, a fairly successful designer and a graduate of the Italian school of fashion and design Istituto Marangoni. In 2009 Anouki, together with insightful fantasist Anzor Bicholla, creates the "Anouki Bicholla" brand. Creative duo's debut was held at Ukrainian Fashion Week. The first collection is based on the traditional Georgian costume, combined with modern seasonal trends.

As a result, designers took a truly graceful feminine imagery.

Everything was going well, but all of a sudden this beautiful duo collapsed. But the reason, in fact, for Anouki, served the political career of her husband: lifestyle has changed a bit, because, it imposed special obligations.

Clothes by Aka ideally suit the eccentric and trendy young generation. Since 2010, Aka takes part in fashion weeks in Tbilisi. Her latest collection was presented at the Tbilisi Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2013/2014. The brand "Aka" is a contrast of striped vests and skirts of air transparent color, massive and tiny embroidered necklaces, jackets, voluminous trousers, complemented by flat-soled espadrilles, decorated with pearls and stones. ка Наниташвили, обладающая сногсшибательным вкусом, грузинский дизайнер, выпускница Тбилисской Академии Искусств. He is a graduate of Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, and his brainchild was born in 2005, on the basis of a shop Kikala Studio in Tbilisi. It is interesting that the creativity of photostudio has found its place of honor in reputable online portals, which are electronic editions of Italian magazine Vogue. In 2011 Lado changed his role and became a fashion designer, and in 2012 Atelier Kikala brand was established. Bakuradze is a winner of several awards and honors in various areas of showbiz and fashion-industry. His collections are having great success in Georgia and other several European countries. Bakuradze is also involved in the creation of scenic suits. He is the leading author on a number of television programs.

Keburia has received professional education on the profile of fashion design in International Fashion Academy. Passion for fashion, by the way, originated when she was creating hand-made toys, and presenting to friends, even while living in Moscow. David Koma is the owner of prestigious awards in the field of fashion-industry. The stars of the first magnitude, and Beyonce in particular, had shown off in his creations. All the British fashion-bloggers and tabloids wrote about the appearance of the U.S. «R & B» goddess on the red carpet at MTV Awards.

Due to the high and responsible position you occupy you permanently have to make important decisions. What principles do you follow in this matter?

First of all I think of the Flamant DNA and the long-term vision of the company. It’s also important to recognize where your strengths are and what other can do better. Since 2009 Flamant is lead by our CEO Edwin Vandermeulen who has extensive experience in business and financial management.

Please tell us about your family. Do your children share work at the company with you to become heirs of your great experience?

It’s great to observe how my children inherited my passion and perseverance. I let them go their ways and I prefer them to get as much work and experience as possible at various workplaces. It is possible that one day they feel eager to come and work with us. The future will tell.

What's your most important achievement?

From the point of view of my personal life its a happy family, which fills me with happiness every day. From the professional point of view, having established a lifestyle interior concept, which seduces people by the entire world because of its warm hospitality. Today, the world needs more than ever the feeling of "coming home".

BURJ KHALIFA DUBAI The New Tower of Babel

he gigantic project, worth about half a billion dollars, has been designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill American architectural firm, and with Adrian Smith as the lead architect. The construction of the building started on Sept. 21, 2004 and solemnly opened Jan. 4, 2010. Burj Khalifa plays a key role in the business life of the UAE and the leading foreign business community to today. The design of Burj Khalifa as it is called "desert flower" is very elegant, graceful, so, this skyscraper has already become a recognizable symbol of Dubai. Inside the building there is the luxurious Armani Hotel designed by legendary Giorgio Armani, which occupies 1 to 39 floors. The construction also accommodates a residential complex with the expensive, elegant decorated apartments, a business center, restaurants, gyms, swimming pools, and observation decks. And at the bottom of the skyscraper is a "Dubai" musical fountain located in the artificial lake of 12 hectares. 6,600 lights and 50 color projectors illuminate the Fountain. The length of the fountain is 275 meters and the height of the jets is up to 150 meters.

he supertall building, embodies the uniqueness of traditional Chinese architecture and the new solutions of design were designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by the Mori Building Company, with lead designer David Mallot. The skyscraper is located in the Pudong district of Shanghai, where the pulse of business life beats and which is rightly called the "Chinese Wall Street". The construction of the building started in 1997 and ended on August 29, 2008. The most distinctive feature of the skyscraper's design is the huge "diaphragm" with stylized "moon gate", which are quite often found in traditional Chinese architecture. EMPIRE STATE BUILDING NEW YORK Arrogant and monumental

he main architect of this stunning architectural structure is a prominent American architect William F. Lamb. Construction of the building started on March 17, 1930, ended on October 23, 1929.

This ambitious and monumental 103-story skyscraper is located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street.

Inside the tower there are more than 6,000 windows and 73 elevators. Commercial areas occupy the first 85 floors of the building (about 257,211 square meters). The remaining 16 floors are in Art Deco style.

On the 102nd floor there is an amazing observation deck. Office buildings can accommodate 15,000 people, and the elevators are capable of one hour transport of 10,000 people. Inside the tower there are about 1,000 offices, which employ about 21,000 people. The Empire State Building is the second building on the number of employees of America after the Pentagon.

etronas Twin Tower, also known as Malaysian twins, really looks majestic. This project reflects the aspiration of Kuala Lumpur to conquer the status of a financial center for the region, instead of Hong Kong. The complex of 88-story skyscrapers is connected with a graceful bridge, biult between 41st and 42nd floors. The total area inside the buildings is 213,750 square meters. The construction of the building started in 1992 and ended in 1998. Chief architect Cesar Pelli has given to the exterior and interior of the twin towers the elements of Malaysian history and cultural heritage of the state.

Inside the "Petronas Twin Tower" there is a business center conforming to international standards-the-art, spacious exhibition and convention rooms, an art gallery. And on the common first floor of the towers there is a huge concert hall with a capacity of 840 places at once. Six-level shopping center area of 93 thousand square with a spherical roof is located at the base of the towers. Built in the underground part of the complex parking lot accommodates 5,400 cars.

т inе-DOC Tbilisi Documentary Film Festival is an international documentary festival in the South of Caucasus that focuses on creative documentary. The festival presented award winning films from outside of Georgia as well as local and regional productions. The festival contains different sections. The goals of Cinе-DOC Tbilisi is to contribute to the development of the documentary culture and industry in the region, to encourage cross-border cooperation between film professionals from countries affected by conflicts and to contribute to the development of the society in Georgia and the Southern Caucasus. The film screenings are followed by open discussions and debates, master classes with renowned film directors, open sessions with invited international guests.

The festival is supported by IDFA Bertha Fund, Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation, Movies that Matter, Georgian Ministry of Culture, Georgian National Film Center, Goethe Institute Tbilisi, etc.

билисский документальный кинофестиваль Cinе-DOC имеет статус международного фестиваля, проходящего в Южном Кавказе. Он концентрирует свое внимание на креативных документальных фильмах и состоит из различных секций. Его целью является содействие развитию индустрии документального кино в регионе, поощрение зарубежного сотрудничества между кинопрофессионалами из стран, несущих на себе последствия конфликтов, поддержка развития общества в Германии и Южном Кавказе. После показа фильмов следуют открытые дискуссии и дебаты, мастер-классы со знаменитыми режиссерами, открытые сессии с участием приглашенных иностранных гостей. Фестиваль осуществился при поддержке фонда IDFA Bertha, Черноморского треста по региональному сотрудничеству, Movies that Matter, Грузинского министерства культуры, Грузинского национального центра кино, Тбилисского института Goethe и т.д.

This time the most famous representatives of art and culture as well as business sphere, embassies of Argentina and Brasil and "Hyatt Place" Yerevan gathered in one of the most exquisite newly opened place of our city - a café-bar of luxurious Royal Classic House complex business centre, where they tasted the famous brandy Hennessy XO from "Sargis Karolina". Conversations of gentlemen proceeded accompanied by pleasant music, cigars provided by Davidoff company and wonderful pictures by Ruben Grigoryan.

It is the only Georgian festival which is the member of the International Festival and Events Association. “Gift” was founded by the decision of the legendary directors of the world leading international art festivals. The goal of the festival establishing and extending the cultural bonding worldwide. Because of political chaos art is often the only language to communicate with different countries. This language is widely spoken by all civilized beings. There is no art without debates, discussions and exchanging the ideas. That’s why the workshops, open meetings and conferences are organized.
