BENTLEY’S FABULOUS NEW _ 2014 FLYING SPUR _

The new Bentley Flying Spur is a remarkable luxury sedan. And not simply because of the incredible speeds it can reach. Designed for those who demand unrestrained luxury alongside uncompromising performance, it delivers the ultimate motoring experience, for driver and passengers alike.

From the sharp lines of its super-formed aluminium exterior to the hand-crafted hides and veneers that adorn the interior, the expertise of Bentley’s craftsmen is evident throughout the new Flying Spur. Every seam in the A-Grade leather is individually sewn. Every layer of veneer is lacquered and polished by hand. The entire cabin, from the wood and the leather to the architecture that supports the car’s digital technology has been fitted by hand.

While the 6 litre W12 engine can propel the new Flying Spur from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 200 mph, the environment inside remains one of absolute calm – not least because of the specially-designed soundproofing installed in the floor and the doors.

Offering serene limousine comfort, in combination with phenomenal performance, the new Flying Spur is born of the belief that nothing is impossible; that the twin objectives of power and luxury can, if relentlessly pursued, be achieved.

The Flying Spur may be the ultimate luxury saloon, but it also places great power in the hands of its driver. The 6 litre W12 engine is capable of 616 bhp and produces a maximum torque of 800 Nm. It can propel the Flying Spur’s speed from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds – and on to a top speed of 200 mph. All-wheel drive with 40:60 front-to-rear torque split guarantees sure-footed performance, while the 8-speed transmission ensures the car is always in the optimum gear, so it is responsive at low speeds and incredibly smooth, even through multiple gear changes. The new engine management system, meanwhile, combines with new chassis hardware and software to give you total control, while also delivering better range.

The Flying Spur also features the very latest in-car technology. The touchscreen Front Seat Infotainment System allows both driver and front passenger to operate the navigation system and adjust the audio, telephone, ride and comfort settings. An optional WiFi hub provides internet access for tablets, laptops and phones. With its 64 GB internal hard drive, it provides enough room to share practically anything that can be stored on a modern-day digital device.

The rear seats include DVD players, wireless headphones and LCD screens, along with ports enabling you to connect consoles, tablets, cameras, music players and phones. In the console in the back, lies a detachable, Touch Screen Remote. Relaxing in the hand-upholstered rear seats, passengers can adjust the climate settings, seat heating and ventilation, radio and navigation system and multimedia features.

The optional 1100 watt 13:2 Naim for Bentley Premium Audio System delivers incredible sound, wherever you sit in the new Flying Spur. Each of the 11 Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) speakers combine the functions of a separate tweeter and midrange speaker in one unit. Sited in the fascia, rear quarter panels and rear parcel shelf, they make it possible to direct the sound with accuracy, while providing incredible clarity throughout the audible spectrum.

With its exquisite interior, the latest in-car technology, and the power it places at your fingertips, nothing brings luxury and performance together like the new Flying Spur.

David Lynch Partners With Dom Perignon To Launch An Exclusive Limited Edition Champagne

World-renowned filmmaker and artist, David Lynch has teamed up with luxury champagne house Dom Pérignon on a limited edition collection of bottles. Lynch who is no stranger to creative and surprising collaborations says this project represented a unique opportunity to experiment with a well-known brand and push it outwards in a new and novel way. In order to achieve his goal he brought his own unique style to the venerable wine by combining the mystery and sensuality of the Dom Pérignon universe with the mesmerizing, surreal, dreamlike beauty of his own.

The limited edition collaboration is available in the highly celebrated vintages Dom Pérignon 2003 and Dom Pérignon Rose 2000 that Lynch reinvented the look of after completing his dreamlike campaign for the storied champagne brand launched last December.

Dom Pérignon by David Lynch is the ultimate expression of a fruitful collaboration based on absolute shared trust in the power of creation. The newly created gift boxes, one for Dom Pérignon Vintage 2003, the other for Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2000 are mesmerizing. The David Lynch signature is there, hidden in shimmering reflections that change with the light. The boxes resemble a magic theatre with silk ribbons at either end that raise the curtain on the interior of the box, while the bottles themselves are decorated with a mix of light and dark shields with different patinas, bronze for Dom Pérignon and almost purple for Dom Pérignon Rosé.
