We are so pleased to be hosting our Annual Bull Sale again this year. We would like to thank each and every one of you who braved the cold weather last year to attend our first sale held here on the ranch. Your continued support of our program is appreciated and keeps us going throughout the year.

We remain committed to raising sound, quality 2 Year Old Red Angus bulls. Our purebred herd is treated no differently than our commercial herd. They need to be productive, efficient cattle who can survive whatever conditions Mother Nature throws at them year over year. We are always advancing our program with new genetics, purchasing bulls and heifers from progressive Red Angus breeders across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Our aim is to have a herd of productive cows who calve unassisted, are structurally correct from top to bottom, have an easy going disposition, and can thrive here for many years. The perfect herd takes a lifetime to achieve and we’re true believers in the philosophy that if you take care of the cow herd, the bull pen will take care of itself!

We have 30 bulls available this year who have been raised without creep and are grown at a slower pace to allow their genetics to naturally shine. We are constantly evaluating the bulls’ development and culling accordingly.

Bulls may be viewed at home any time prior to the sale.

The bulls will be penned and available for viewing after 10:00 am on sale day.

Changes of information contained in this catalogue will be corrected by announcements from the block at sale time and shall take precedence over any printed material.

TERMS - The terms of the sale are cash or cheque.

The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements will be made with the clerks of the sale immediately following the conclusion of the sale. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as it’s sold.

WINTERING - All animals will be wintered at no charge until delivery. Prior arrangements must be made if the bull is to stay any longer than May 1, 2020 and may be subject to a boarding fee.

DELIVERY - Free delivery within a 300km radius of Medicine Hat, AB or the nearest port of entry. Deliveries will begin after April 1, 2020 at our earliest convenience. No bulls will be loaded out sale day.

REGISTERED LOTS - A certificate of registry will be mailed to the buyer for each animal after settlement is made. All bulls sell under the terms and conditions of the Canadian Angus Association’s Breeders Guarantee.

GENERAL - Lust Farms reserves the right to cancel or postpone the auction if we deem such action is necessary.

LIABILITIES - All persons who attend the sale at Lust Farms do so at their own risk and the seller assumes no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents occurring on the premises.

Felix is a bull who exhibits extreme natural thickness and fleshing ability. A moderate framed bull from a well put together Packer dam we purchased from the Chinook Sale a few years back. Dalmistu 95C was a natural calf from a 13 year old cow so we expect some longevity to carry on through these genetics. Upper Cut is a son out of Six Mile’s Smokin Gun sire that caught our eye on sale day. He’s an attractive, deep red sire that stamps his calves with the same style and pattern. He has been Mr. Consistency for us so far. 56 progeny to date that average 84 pounds at birth and come in at weaning with an average WI of 101. Bulls or heifers...he does both equally well.

Gunner was the high selling yearling bull at Lazy MC’s sale in 2017 and was purchased for number of reasons. A great EPD profile, a moderate 82 pound birthweight and a 15.02in2 ribeye area really caught our attention. We sampled Gunner on a handful of select cows are quite pleased with the results.
