GLITZ
GLITZ
Illuminating Sin City. How do you stand out from the rest when the rest is so fabulous? With over-the-top, up-to-the-minute design and sumptuous sparkle!
Key: Single Project
Multiple Projects
Designer: Rockwell Group
Drama and color as only the dream team of Rockwell and Tao Group can do it – the new sushi restaurant at TAO LAS VEGAS at The Venetian is everything you would expect. Hand crafted, overscale ‘lily blossom’ silk shades and open ‘seed pod’ frames pose against a striking color scheme of reds and burnt oranges with patterned accents. Team, you’ve done it again!
Designer: Wimberly Interiors
We were honored to work again within this signature Vegas Strip property creating feature lighting to compliment the dazzling new look of the high limit gaming lounge at The Palazzo casino floor. The familiar classic lines and motifs that are the calling card of one of the leaders in luxury gaming are all here – tiers of clear and champagne quatrefoil crystal and warm champagne metals shimmer as far as the eye can see, with accent silhouettes of mirrored baguettes and polished nickel to guide your way from blackjack table to roulette wheel…
Are you feeling lucky? You will!
Designer: Olivia Jane Design
For a new take on the classic Parisian brasserie, designer Olivia Jane matched celebrity chef Bobby Flay’s menu and gave the expected a twist through the dramatic layering of light and surfaces of layered motifs and lacquered finishes.
Modernist industriel linear pendants of reeded amber glass and satin brass throughout the main dining room are punctuated by striking over-scale sconces of tiled opalino ‘milk’ glass. Whimsical trios of lacquered cafe-style pendants illuminate the weathered marble, fluted wood and zinc accents of the L-shaped bar.
All in all, the perfect surroundings for a romantic evening en Paris!
Designer: L4 Design
Away from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip, South Point features airy suites and well-appointed guest rooms with all the amenities. De-light-ful, overscale corridor lighting leads you into your expansive abode – charming crafted fixtures transforming your Sin City getaway into a real adventure!
Designer: MGM Design + Development
Tiers of custom cast resin and colorful handblown glass bubbles and ribbon lead you on your personal Vegas adventure! Another collaboration with our longtime clients at MGM – adding fresh design accents to a classic Las Vegas Strip property. And did you know that Lusive owner and erstwhile lighting consultant Jason Cooper designed the original architectural lighting when Mandalay Bay opened way back in…well never mind, he is just as youthful and energetic about lighting and all things design!
Designer: Martin Brudnizki Design Group
One of the many charming restaurants LUSIVE collaborated on at the former Monte Carlo – and another jewel in the crown of our Vegas design alliance with Martin Brudnizki. More restrained ‘40s tea dance than a rowdy 80’s members club, PRIMROSE shows a softer, more genteel side of the MBDS design aesthetic. Enjoy lunch in the charming drawing room and bar or linger over tea on the garden patio within a warm Deco Industriel-inspired atmosphere melding soft bronzes, muted patterned wallcoverings and carpets – a refined hideaway right on The Strip.
Designer: Center Bar – Rockwell Group
Porte Cochere – Cleo Design/Klai Juba Wald
Before Damien Hirst’s shark swam into the mix, a foray through shimmering crystal starbursts brought you into the original Palms Center Bar. Engineering the imposing modern ‘lanterns’ of bronze and custom ‘French Coffee’ leather strap detailing with internal silk column shades around the impressive feature bar makes this one of our enduring favorite Vegas installations.
Designer: Avenue Design
Be transported to Paris circa 1940s for cocktails (une absinthe, peut etre?) or a clandestine dinner amid tufted velvet booths and mirrored, lacquered paneling – all in alluring shades of red and burgundy. Layers of silk fringe and gleaming metal mesh create seductive pools of light – all the better to see you, mon amour!
Designer: Rockwell Group
To create a Vegas hot spot, TAO Group and chef Chris Santos partnered to create an updated and ultra-glamorous take on their original Stanton New York. Rockwell Group and TAO have created the luxurious glamor we expect from this dynamic duo – once again Lusive was called upon to create exotic, whimsical lighting.
Focal points of rich silk shades in a mix of silhouettes and colors with custom tassels and trims sashay alluringly throughout the dining rooms; bell-shaped pendants with ziggurat motif laser cuts and satin nickel downlight details illuminated the booths – all framed with layers of luxurious draperies to create an exciting, decadent environment for the perfect night out!
Designer: Punch Architecture
The opening of Circa Hotel & Casino in 2020 marked the latest chapter in the exciting revitalization of Downtown Vegas, adding new, cool energy to Fremont Street and upping the ante on great design and glamor.
The iconic Vegas Vickie – in all her 25’ of neon cowgirl glory – celebrates the site’s past and leads you on through the casino floor and bars to the stunning Art Deco-inspired rooms of Barry’s Prime steakhouse. Lusive created showstoppers throughout with glass elements in tones of ambers and luxurious bronze and brass – a feature of handblown half dome shades stretches across the warm and intimate PDR. Exciting, inviting... and the best steaks in town!
Designer: Martin Brudnizki Design Studio
A whimsical, sophisticated and intimate experience as only MBDS can do it! Delightful sconces with artisanal French plaster ‘coral’ arms and hand tucked silk shades with tassel details sashay across mirrored walls, hand blown glass pendants add shimmer to sensuous Venetian glas at the bar, tiny cast bronze lamps create intimate pools of light at the dining table – as guests enjoy world-class entertainment. Absolutely unexpected – absolutely stunning.
Designer: Rockwell Group
A day (or night) at the beach...in the desert – what could be more fun? Another fabulous pool party setting courtesy of TAO Group and Rockwell – 17-foot lanterns with 30-inch diameter caged frames stretch up and over the pools with the mini-me version lighting up the cabana seating. Need refreshments? Bronze outdoor sconces in Aged Bronze with laser cut and fin details illuminate the bar and add to the cool, bohemian ambiance.
The first Vegas location for this popular dumpling palace, we created cascade of overscale basket-like slatted pendants in faux walnut and plated satin bronze with a glowing inner opal lantern – glamorous simplicity!
Designer: TAL Studio
Voted best patio dining in Vegas, here is the place to sip your perfect cocktail and watch the sunset (or sunrise!) over The Strip!
Designer: YWS Design + Architecture
Our longtime partners at YWS and MGM Design + Development came to Lusive to create a wow factor at the revitalized convention center at MGM Grand – and go Grand we did! Tiered curls of silk with a contrasting trim detail cascade from plated satin bronze wagon wheel frames to create a focal point, leading the visitor through vast palatial corridors of luxurious marble and dark natural wood.
Designer: ICrave
Settle under leafy canopies with hundreds of glowing ‘firefly’ globes to enjoy a delicious blend of Brazilian-Peruvian-Japanese cuisine accompanied with sake...or perhaps a caipirinha! Kanpai and Kawsaypac!
Cleo Design/Klai Juba Wald
For the first restaurant to open at Caesars Entertainment development, The LINQ, we created a glowing ‘candle’ wall, tiered bottle chandeliers and laser cut lanterns in oil rubbed bronzes to reflect the casually sexy vibe.
Designer: Parts and Labor
With its minimalist and contemporary aesthetic on display from the moment you enter, LA LA NOODLE serves Asian-inspired cuisine in a modern setting. Lusive worked with New Yorkbased design studio Parts and Labor to create a variety of light fixtures that stayed true to the setting’s tranquil ambiance, but with a contemporary flair befitting of its Las Vegas surroundings. The final result? A collection of custom lighting that utilizes the soft hues of opal glass, the whimsey of flowing fabric, and the luster of satin brass. Ooh la la!
Designer: MGM Entertainment
In an ode to all things music, ON THE RECORD is Park MGM’s exclusive nightclub experience, truly unlinke any other club in the city. Featuring karaoke rooms, a speakeasy, a patio-bar, and hidden spaces around every corner, this nightclub features elements of the world of music in virtually every aspect of its décor—including the custom lighting program that Lusive produced. From mid-century modern-inspired pendants adorned with illuminated microphones to cascading brass cymbals lit with antique lightbulbs, these custom fixtures offer a playful wink of nostalgia and exude on air of retro cool. Rock on!
Designer: Klai Juba Wald Architects
Glittering feature chandeliers with wrapped ombre tiers of Clear, Champagne and Amber
Austrian Crystal Triadri rods cascading from Plated Bronze Canopies lead guests as they ascend through the palatial entry to the Main Showroom at this sumpturous Sin City venue.
Completed in 2006 as a $40 million dollar addition to the vast Venetian Hotel resort and Casino, and patterned after that famed Gaillard Opera House in Paris, the theatre was designed to house Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular, an adaptation of Phantom of the Opera.
Designer: TAL Studio
Possibly one of the most gorgeous, exclusive and expensive temporary experiences in Vegas, FIZZ was the fantasy space designed for Sir Elton John during his residency at Caesars. Designed by TAL Studio with motifs reflecting Sir Elton’s favorites – skulls, candles and glamor, glamor, glamor - Lusive created a cascade of hand blown glass and plated nickel candelabras, cast crystal skull sconces and elegant midcentury amber pendants – goodbye, yellow brick road...
Designer: TAL Studio
One of our older – and favorite – Vegas restaurant projects with the well-known ‘gas lantern’ polished lucite pendants with their optic detail in various configurations including the feature ‘fire wall’ –still CUT-ting edge after all these years!
Designer: Tao Group
For when you need a moment off the dance floor, we created overscale shade clusters and colorful bar pendants throughout the (somewhat) calmer lounge spaces of this nightlife classic.
