Thickness The standard thicknesses of a Lundhs Real Stone countertop are 2 cm (3/4 in) or 3 cm (1 Âź in). Both thicknesses offer the same level of durability. The choice is yours.

Sizes Lundhs Real Stone slabs are available in different sizes.

Your fabricator/showroom will help you choose the best size available for your kitchen. Please note that the maximum size of a slab is 330 x 180 cm (129.9 x 70.86 in). This is due to the capacity and set up of the processing machines that cut the blocks of stone into slabs. If your countertop or island requires a larger piece, two slabs can be joined together. A skilled fabricator will be able to join the pieces together beautifully.

TOPMOUNT Topmount is a conventional method of installation.

The sink centre is simply inserted from above into a prepared cut out space in your countertop.

Cooktop The cooktop is also a vital part of the kitchen – here are the most common options for installation.

UNDERMOUNT The sink is installed under the countertop, providing a functional extension of the surface and an easy-to-clean area. It also offers the possibility to create draining grooves on one or both sides of the sink if desired.

TOPMOUNT The cooktop is simply inserted from above into a prepared cut out space in your countertop.

Today, Lundhs is the largest producer of natural stone in Northern Europe.

The history of Lundhs began more than 100 years ago when Alfred Lundh came from Sweden to Norway to run one of the biggest quarrying companies of the era. In 1962, Thor Lundh, Alfred’s grandson, decided to found his own quarrying company – Lundhs. Throughout the history of the company, innovation has been a Lundhs hallmark. The way natural stone is used has changed a lot over the years. Methods of extracting the stone have been revolutionized. Lundhs has always been at the forefront of these changes. Today the company is still family owned and Thor’s grandson, Thor-Anders Lundh Haakestad, is the CEO. He is proud to continue the family’s quarrying traditions and does so with the same passion for quality and high precision that his forefathers had.

Certificate of authenticity When you select and purchase Lundhs Real Stone from authorized suppliers you will have the opportunity to register and receive our certificate of authenticity upon the final installation of your new countertop. In the quarries we make sure that only the best quality is chosen for your Lundhs Real Stone countertop and the block number issued on the certificate can be traced back to the quarries. The certificate is individual to each customer and proof that you are now the owner of a unique piece of Norway, quarried by Lundhs.

In addition to the certificate, we will also send you a token gift – our specially designed salt bowl made from the same material as your new kitchen countertop.
