The Emergency Services Fight Back Against Hunger Record Levels with over 6300 lbs. of food and $4000.00 in cash donations
6th Annual Lumby and District Emergency Services Fight Back against Hunger Food drive supporting the Lumby Food Bank. At 5:00pm, Emergency Service vehicles drove throughout the village
of Lumby and the surrounding community with sirens wailing and lights flashing. Following behind in personal vehicles to gather the non perishable food items were emergency service men and women, kids, and members of the community. When the items arrived at the food bank, volunteers weighed and stacked the bags as they were delivered. Local community member, RCMP Const. Gary McLaughlin has been organizing this very important food drive since 2014 for the village. Robert Wilkinson, President of the Food Bank says that this is “an import-
