Climate Asia Annual Conference 2026 At the Climate Asia Annual Conference 2026, Mr Akshay Kashyap, MD – Lumax Greenfuel Energy Solutions, had the opportunity to be part of a panel on “India’s Multi-Energy Future: From Fragmentation to Scale.” One thing was clear - India’s energy transition is not a question of what needs to be done. It is about how we execute and align at scale.
For India, this transition is not just about cleaner technologies. It is equally about energy security, economic resilience and long-term sustainability. We cannot rely on fragmented approaches or imported playbooks. The path forward has to be built around India’s realities - scalable, practical, and economically viable solutions. In the near term, fuels like CNG, LNG and biofuels can drive immediate impact. Alongside this, continued investment in green hydrogen and domestic innovation will define the future. The real unlock lies in alignment - across policy, industry and infrastructure. If we can move from pilots to scale, from intent to execution, India has the opportunity to lead a transition that is not just cleaner, but also resilient and self-reliant.
Natural Gas Forum Mr Akshay Kashyap, MD & CEO - Lumax Greenfuel was recently invited to speak at the Natural Gas Forum on the “Role of CBG (Compressed Bio Gas) in India’s Net-Zero Resolution.” What stood out clearly is this - CBG is no longer a peripheral solution. It is central to India’s energy transition. As India advances toward its Net-Zero 2070 goal, we often look to future technologies for answers. But CBG presents a powerful, immediate opportunity. By converting high-impact methane emissions into clean fuel, CBG enables something very few clean energy pathways can deliver: net-negative transport emissions.
At the same time, with strong policy push through SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) and the phased CBO (CBG Blending Obligation) mandate, the ecosystem is being structurally enabled.
