2020 ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STUDIO IIIA DWELL

The studio was assigned a site within the West Loop Gate / Fulton River District of Chicago - 627 W Randolph Street. The site occupies a corner lot with primary exposure and pedestrian access to the north and west. The building lot consists of three parcels - parcel 1: an existing parking lot on the corner; parcel 2: a lot to the south of the parking lot that has an existing CTA building on it that will be removed for the purposes of this project; and parcel 3: a lot located south of parcel #2 that has an exiting CTA building that will remain. The development site is bounded by masonry-clad buildings to the east and south, and alley access from Randolph St. and Washington Blvd.
