The Epping Golf Course is a friendly, family run, 18 hole par 68, 5434 yard Parkland course with many undulations, attractive water features and panoramic views over the Essex countryside.

The venue built and designed by golfers to use every club in the bag often has the best greens around and also features fantastic short game practice facilities including a 150 yard driving range, putting, chipping and bunker greens and a 3 hole par 3 course.

Membership is available at the lively Epping Golf Club along with Pay & Play 7 days a week.

Buggies are also hired subject to availability.

Daily homecooked breakfast & lunch can be enjoyed in the cosy clubhouse and a further function room seating 50 is available for hire upstairs.

Free beginners lessons are held twice a week every week and everyone is welcome at the club with no stuffy rules and dress code, so we very much look forward to seeing you soon!

The Epping Golf Course

The Epping Golf Course was built as a revival of the original Epping Golf Club which was patriotically ploughed up at the onset of WWII Epp i

and who’s first Vice President was the honourable Sir Winston Churchill. It is a labour of love and an expression of the dreams, dedication and hard work of Brothers Neil and Peter Sjoberg and their families who built, own and still run the course today.

After the founding of PMW German car specialists by Peter Sjoberg at the top of Fluxs lane 10 years prior, the golfing venture emerged gradually with the first 9-holes opening in 1995.

Work was still taking place on the remainder of

the course and an honesty box at the back of Neil’s old spitfire acted as a makeshift clubhouse.

Today the course is renowned for the quality of its greens, the warm reception received by all, and a successful fusion of tradition with a more modern approach to golf. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers whose generous help and support over the years has made it all possible, and also the featured advertisers for their contribution towards this publication.

⊲ Members and non members will be bound

by Epping Golf Course Rules, particularly Rule 2.25 [exclusion of liability] copies of which are displayed and available in the Clubhouse. ⊲ Always play promptly & quietly. Call faster players through. Ask politely to go through if you are held up. If you see a hold up on the course, remind the culprits to call through. If the problem persists phone the Clubhouse for a Ranger.

⊲ Give way to footpath users on the 12th, 13th, 7th and 6th holes. No play or ball retrieval beyond the white posts [out of bounds]. ⊲ Good golfers replace divots, repair pitchmarks, rake bunkers and are friendly towards others, don’t take trolleys on tees or greens. ⊲ All golfers may play from the tee of their choice. ⊲ Boundaries & hazards are defined in the Course Guide.

The unique free lessons at Epping with our PGA professionals and coaches are an opportunity for you to try golf with no strings attached. Come along to the sessions and enjoy a relaxing and constructive morning learning golf.

The lessons are held at the club twice a week every week and there is no need to book.

Every Monday from 9:30 - 10:30 Every Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00

Balls, clubs and tuition are provided free of charge and there is no stuffy dress code to worry about.

For practice outside of lesson times, balls can be purchased at reception where food and refreshments are also on hand. Follow on sessions with the professionals are available as is a clear and well practiced path to get you playing and enjoying golf, so if you’ve always wanted to get into the game then come down and give golf a try - we would love to see you!
