LOCAL RULES 1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Def & Rule 27-1) a) On or over any boundary wall fence or line of white posts. b) The putting green and on or over the path to the left of the 18th green. c) The Clubhouse, the car park and the greenkeepers’ areas. d) 8th hole. In places, the OOB fence has been removed. The beginning of the remaining OOB fence is marked with a white post. ALL ground nearer the 8’” tee than this white post is IN PLAY. Relief may only be obtained under stroke and distance penalty. 2. LATERAL WATER HAZARDS (Def & Rule 26) Lateral water hazards are marked by red stakes or lines e.g. right of the 7th fairway, and between the 13th and 14th holes. 3. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 25-1) Areas circled by white or creosote lines or marked with appropriate GUR sign. Note: If a GUR sign states MUST then play is prohibited and relief MUST be taken. 4. STAKED TREES (Rule 24 24-2b(i)) If staked trees interfere with a player’s stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed in Rule 24-2b(i). The ball may be cleaned when so lifted. 5. STONES IN BUNKERS Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1 applies). 6. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS a) Relief from interference by an immovable obstruction may be obtained under Rule 24-2. In addition, if a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and an immovable obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief as follows: the ball MUST be lifted and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids such intervention and (c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green. The ball may be cleaned when lifted. b) if a player requires relief for a ball lying on the artificial path on the left of the 4th green, the player MUST, without penalty, drop a ball in the nearer of the two dropping zones (DZ) to where the ball lay. c) 7th hole; if a player requires relief for a ball lying on the pathway to the right of the 7th green (continuing to the right of the 8th tee), the player may proceed under Rule 24-2; or as an additional option, without penalty, drop a ball in the dropping zone (DZ). 7. STACKED TURF FACE (REVETTED) BUNKER The face of a bunker that consists of stacked turf (revetted) is deemed NOT to be a closely mown area (Rule 25-2). If the player deems his ball to be unplayable, he MUST, under penalty of one stroke take relief under Rule 28. 8. BALL ACCIDENTALL Y MOVED ON THE PUTTING GREEN When a player’s ball lies on the putting green, there is no penalty if the ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved by the player, his partner, his opponent, or any of their caddies or equipment.The moved ball or ball-marker must be replaced as provided in Rules 18-2, 18-3 and 20-1. This Local Rule applies only when the player’s ball or ball-marker lies on the putting green and any movement is accidental. Note: If it is determined that a player’s ball on the putting green was moved as a result of wind, water or some other natural cause such as the effects of gravity, the ball must be played as it lies from its new location. A ball-marker moved in such circumstances is replaced. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULE: Match Play – Loss of Hole; Stroke Play – Two Strokes.
