01 | Cube Project | 2021
This project was an experimentation of an everyday material to understand light and space. The piece was designed to fit the dimensions of a 6”x6”x6” cube and to be assembled with a variety of connection techniques in order to have no edge-to-edge or face-to-face connections. A cube of choice was then analyzed through a series of hard-line drawings.

02 | Continuous Cantilever Chair | 2023
This portmanteau is the combination of a shelf and a chair. Inspired by the Cantilever Chair designed by architect Mart Stam, the goal of this portmanteau is to use the continuous planes in order add a shelf and be structurally sound enough to lack back legs. Altogether, this piece serves the three purposes as art, seating, and storage.

04 |Streetcar Pavilion | 2023
The goal of this pavilion was to combine both the rigidity of a structural grid with the softness of fabric in order to have flow, harmony and comfort. The scaffold platforms allow pedestrians create an opportunity for pedestrians to climb and explore as they wait for the streetcar.

05 | Folded Fern Lamp | 2022
This hanging light fixture experiments with the folding and distortion of the Polypodium Glycyrrhiza fern. When illuminated, the glow from the cutouts represents the vascular current of the fern. This lamp was inspired by organic structure of the fern blades. In the initial study models, there was an emphasis on the movement of the leaves, which heavily inspired the direction of this lamp.

The intersection between humanity and nature through experimentation of the form of Mother Nature. Made out of welded steel rods and is over 8 feet tall.

07 | Disaster Relief Center Interior Intervention | 2023
The transformation of a library annex to a disaster relief center, this space is designed to be flexible to suit the needs of the users. The timber beam system with tracks allows for panels to be placed and moved to close off and delineate new spaces.

They get coffee and breakfast from the cafeteria and sit at the counter to check emails.
After eating lunch. Charlie sits at the info desk where they volunteer.
They sit in one of the booths to hold meetings on zoom.

Charlie winds down and reads in bed in the privacy of their pod.
They partake in movie night in the common area. They socialize with others that are staying there.
Charlie holds a support group within the shelter to help ease anxieties of people there.
Charlie eats dinner and talks with others in the cafeteria.
User Journey Map
This map follows the day of Charlie, a clinical social worker to see how they would use the space. The objective was to build around the needs of the people in New Orleans. User profiles were created from research on the New Orleans community in order to see what type of people would use the space. .
