This traditional cottage sits proudly in a historic neighborhood, designed as a legacy home that is both artful and functional. Classical forms and layered cypress rooflines frame a limestone entry, while a private rear porch with custom timber elements overlooks the yard. Thoughtfully selected materials will age gracefully, giving the home a sense of permanence while still setting it apart.
French Eclectic
Arched doorways and steep roofs define this home, where stucco, stone, and wood blend seamlessly. A waterside turret—echoed by a small lighthouse—anchors the design. The landscape includes a layered bird sanctuary with canopy trees, shrubs, grass, and water. Inside, Frenchinspired casement windows and rustic wood beams add warmth throughout.
Cottage Pool House
Centered on openness, this award-winning 5,000-squarefoot pool house doubles as an entertainment space and mother-in-law suite. A 16-foot movable wall connects the living room to the pool patio, while pine paneling, herringbone floors, and a stone fireplace warm the airy interior. Salvaged beams highlight the 20-foot ceilings, and cedar shake roofing with copper detailing completes the retreat.
Pastoral Estate
Designed as both a family home and a response to its former llama farm setting, this residence blends rustic charm with modern refinement. Cedar shake roofing, local stone, and exposed timber create a cohesive, timehonored palette. Gabled forms, a leaded glass window, and a custom steel pivot door define the façade, while thoughtful detailing and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow connect the home to the land.
