A publisher friend of mine was mentioning to me the other day about how he has noticed more and more digital publishing appearing. He mentioned that the digital process allows many less funded projects to get published in a much faster time span. There are plusses and minuses about this process but regardless of the debate the digital publishing process got me to thinking about an easy way to validate my students’ efforts through publishing. I searched through many options and I settled on an online program called Issuu. Issuu fit best with my group due to ease of use, look of finished product and the ever enticing price tag of free. Issuu publishes the paper in a flash format that you can flip through as if you are actually reading a book. Most digital publishing work the same some in flash and some in HTML 5 the latter usually is a pay program. If you are not familiar with those terms if you are looking for programs that can be used. The online format allows validation for students I will explain how start an account and upload finished works into a digital library using Issuu. I will also litter in a few tips and tricks that I found enabled the the digital publishing process to go quick and smooth. A Step-by-Step Guide to Setting up and using Knovio for prerecording presentations
