On Tuesday April 1st, 2014 his son Anwar Barrow was appointed as the Chairman of the company’s Executive Committee. This position puts Barrow as the sole person in charge of the company’s entire daily operations. Belize City, April 3, 2014 On Thursday April 10th, Supreme Court Judge Courtenay Abel will decide if an application for judicial review, sought by the Opposition People’s United Party, on the Election Department’s controversial and much disliked decision to disqualify the recall of disgraced UDP Cayo North East Area Representative Elvin Penner is permissible or not. The decision is challenged on the basis that the Chief Elections Officer, Josephine Tamai, was wrong in disqualifying 337 petitions, which were among the 2002 collected by the PUP.
