rossword puzzles are an excellent vehicle for cooperative learning. The crossword puzzles in this section are graded into the categories of easy and challenging, based upon the difficulty of the words required for completion. Teaching techniques. Working with a classmate, students can share their knowledge of English in solving the various vocabulary or grammatical questions posed in the puzzle. After students have completed the puzzle (in class or as homework assigned to be done with a classmate), the teacher should discuss the solutions with the class as a whole.
