Lima – Peru 1978. Master in Media-Design at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam - The Netherlands. Licentiate degree in audiovisual realization from the Faculty of Communication of the University of Lima. Bachelor degree with specialty in cinema and video from the same Faculty. Founder and director at LOCOMOTOR, an advertising and film production company based in Lima since 2012. Luis work has a strong bond with his academic background, filmmaking. He takes the cinematographic language and merges it with the expressive potential of the space. In his installations the physicality of the image works as backbone of the narrative, exploring diverse connotations of the social landscape and how urban environments, technology and social media has become our “natural” habitat.
