Imaginary worlds A collection of drawings

Today, when 3D renderings and computer drawing are largely part of the everyday life of architects, hand drawing, though slow and laborious, remains a tool both for architectural design and for escaping into a surprising imaginary world. Spatiality, materiality, proportions, framing, colours, layers, depth and above all time: so many things that are felt all the more strongly when drawing by hand. The simple movement of a hand equipped with a pen on a sheet of paper, sometimes grainy, sometimes very smooth, allows the emergence of very varied universes. Drawing, a tool that I have practised since I was very young, was further strengthened by my participation in an architecture workshop at the faculty of architecture La Cambre Horta called Micromégaslab. This workshop, run by Alain Simon and Eve Deprez, is best known for its production of daily A5 drawings. It led me to push my passion for drawing even further, it became a real daily work tool. This time spent drawing by hand, sometimes long and sometimes very short, is almost a kind of meditation. I draw, I dream, I disappear...
