Our Family of Brands POWERED BY SCIENCE Lubrication Specialties, Inc. (LSI) develops problem-specific solutions for common diesel engine issues through high performance additive technology. Hot Shot’s Secret products are designed for use in fuel, oil, transmission or power steering systems. Premier products are STICTION ELIMINATOR and DIESEL EXTREME. In 2016, the line of Hot Shot’s Secret products will be expanded.

This 1953’s classic brand was re-engineered by LSI in 2015. Newly designed, cellulose based filter media powers the FRANTZ FILTER System to remove contaminants as small as 2 microns from engine oil. Most OEM filters are effective only down to 15 microns. Smaller contaminants create excessive wear on the engine. The FRANTZ FILTER System creates an endless supply of pure oil for your engine.

Helping to protect the environment, Fluid Recovery collects waste antifreeze, removes 100% of the impurities and reformulates it into a premium antifreeze called EcoArmor. Following sound environmental principles, LSI uses a vacuum distillation process that is solely powered by waste energy to refine and recycle used antifreeze into a premium product.

A Word from the President Many people have heard of the Hot Shot’s Secret line of additives from our digital and broadcast advertising efforts or have seen it on the automotive retail shelf. Most have never heard of Lubrication Specialties, Inc. (LSI). Let me answer the question “Who is LSI?” We are the parent company of Hot Shot’s Secret, Frantz Filters and Fluid Recovery. Located in Morrow County, OH, we’ve been given the 2014 Ohio Strong Award by Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel for excellence in manufacturing.

At Lubrication Specialties, Inc., we operate differently.

Three principles have fueled the success of our products: 1. We are a research and development firm.

Many additive companies are primarily marketers, rather than researchers or product developers. At Lubrication Specialties Inc. we operate the LSI Laboratory which spawned the Hot Shot’s Secret Stiction Eliminator and Diesel Extreme products. We research, test, and develop products and then bring them to market.

2. We design problem-specific solutions.

Every LSI product is specifically designed to solve a problem in the marketplace, no matter how prolific or small the problem might be.

Therefore, solving specific issues for our customers is always top-of-mind. Innovation is a driving force for us.

3. We start with the solution in mind.

Most additive companies take a price-based approach to bringing products to market.

They will limit the type and quality of ingredients in the product so as to not surpass a predetermined price point. In other words, effectiveness of the product is not as important as price. But what is stiction, exactly?
