Featured Artist: Carol Flueckiger

mixed-media paintings evoke the sensory experience of West Texas weather such as the sound and motion of wind, fading sunlight and shifting temperatures. Many of her pieces include a bicycle image. Her signature technique builds on cyanotype, a lightsensitive process that she blends with painting and drawing. She holds a BFA from University of

Minnesota and an MFA from University of New Mexico. She is an Associate Professor, J.T. and Margaret Talkington

College of Visual and Performing Arts, Texas Tech University. Her work is represented by Charles Adams Gallery in Lubbock, Texas.

by artist Julie Borden. As a “Painter of Music,” Boren focuses on hand painted musical instruments, colorful music themes in her paintings, and being known for her signature curvy piano keyboards.
