Interfraternity Council (IFC) - The governing body of 15 fraternities on LSU’s campus. As such, it establishes guidelines for managing the processes and activities of the chapters. The purpose of the council is to promote unity among individual chapters; to facilitate relations between the IFC community and the University; and to see that all rules, policies, and regulations passed by the council are followed by the fraternities.

National Panhellenic Council (NPHC) - It serves as the umbrella organization for the historically, but not exclusively, black Greek-lettered organizations commonly referred to as the Divine Nine. NPHC sponsors events throughout the school year, including NPHC Greek Code Parts I and II, Wild Out Wednesdays, Spring Step Shows, and Service events.
